I was recently invited by Ribena to an event and unfortunately we couldn’t make it, but when I heard about it I knew I wanted to share it with you all.
Ribena created the Ribena Colouring Café in London’s Convent Garden and invited people to colour in their own piece of an amazing piece of art (watch the video to see how amazing!).
They joined forces with Bristol-based artist, Alex Lucas and set her the challenge to illustrate a surrealist city landscape, full of quirk and joy. Alex’s life and art is all about the simple happy things. Her art is a little out-there and full of vibrant happiness; she has even painted the walls of her house with giant birds & flowers! Every Saturday she opens her front window and sells her artwork, such a cool idea!
Once Alex had created this huge piece of art, it was then divided into 120 pieces. The group at the colouring café were given felt-tips and free-rein to colour to their hearts’ content; obviously fuelled by tasty Ribena Light! The perfect escape from real-life and the chance to let their imaginations run wild even just for a short time.
This is such an awesome video of the events as they unfolded at the Colouring Café. I really wish we could have gone along!
The finished masterpiece looked incredible! I would love that on the wall in Baby’s bedroom, so cool!
Don’t worry you can get in on the #Ribenary action, you can get creative using the Ribena colouring app. Simply choose your character, pick your colour pallet and get colouring.
Join the Ribenary fun and create your own unique Ribenary masterpiece and share it with your friends.
Well done Ribena for creating such a fun and vibrant event.
