Summer is getting ready to wave goodbye for another year, but not before we attended the Sway PR end of summer party. Baby and I hopped on a train to London, meeting Katy and her girls, before making our way to the gorgeous Theatre Royal, Drury Lane. We had been invited to attend the party, socialise with other bloggers and meet some brands.
The venue was really beautiful and there was a good collection of brands to chat with.
My first challenge was to keep Baby off the balcony! She wanted to splash around in the puddles, and didn’t seem to even to notice the pouring rain.
We had a lovely time chatting with our friends and meeting new ones. We spoke to the brands and I fell in love with the gorgeous Mia Tui bags, they are divine! There was skin care from Love Boo, amazing car seat systems from Multimac (that enable you to seat 4 children in even the smallest of cars), innovative baby carriers from Dinky Dragon, fabulous swimwear from Bohn and a fabulous gift list website from Wishagift, which will ensure you never get a dud pressie ever again!
The guest of honour was Imogen Thomas, model and former Big Brother contestant. I was given a few minutes to interview Imogen, which was lovely.
Imogen is the owner of Chasing Summer an online swimwear boutique, which launched this year. She has a daughter who is a similar age to Baby, Ariana and has baby number two due to arrive in December, the same week they move house! Imogen was really lovely, down to earth and super friendly. We chatted lots about potty training, which we are both going through at the moment, and her business’ (she recently closed her children’s clothing line to focus on the swimwear range). Like lots of us Imogen juggles working with childcare, with the help of the nursery where Ariana goes three times a week, soon to be four when the new baby arrives.
Imogen spoke about how different her second pregnancy has been to her first; when you are already a mum you don’t have the luxury of any down time, and she is currently still running round after her daughter and working out in the gym every day. She is also going through major sweet cravings, which I am sure lots of pregnant ladies can identify with. As someone who always looks so glamourous, I asked Imogen what beauty product she could not live without at the moment and she gave a give thumbs up to Bio oil. I would like to thanks Imogen for taking the time to chat with me, it was great to meet her.
Baby has never had her face or body painted, she just won’t do it. I walked into the children’s play area to find her sitting with the face painter having her arm painted! She loves it and I am hopeful that next time it might be her face!

On the way out we tried to get the girls to pose for a picture on the stairs. We snapped a couple… then there is always one… and frequently it is mine!
So thanks to Sway PR for a lovely event, it was great fun.
Disclosure: We received a lovely goodie bag from this event, but we were not asked to write about it.
