Dressing Mr Hubby – Debenhams #LoveDenim Competition
Like most people with young children, all of our money gets spent on Baby and as parent’s, our needs are left a little by the wayside. Mr Hubby and I could both really do with a spruce up. I don’t seem to have anything to wear post pregnancy (which is almost a year ago) and poor Mr Hubby is looking a bit threadbare! Bless him, he works very hard for us and never spends anything on himself.
Debenhams have launched their #LoveDemin competition, which will see one lucky winner treated to a personal shopping experience and £250 worth of vouchers to spend. This would be amazing for Mr Hubby! I would also get £250 of vouchers too, result! This would definitely help give me a much needed makeover and confidence boost.
I had a look through the men’s collection on the Debenham’s website and put together this look for Mr Hubby. Thinking back to before we had Baby we were always going to gigs, festivals and lots of stand up. So with this in mind I went for a casual look.
Mr Hubby is quite a casual chap anyway so he would love this. First up is a Red Herring dark Grey button neck T-Shirt (1) I am quite the fan of grey, on his feet would be these Lo-top grey Converse trainers (2) I think everyone loves a pair of Converse. I love jeans that look a bit worn, so I would pick these John Rocha straight leg dark blue jeans (3). Then to top it off this St George by Duffer grey cable knit jumper (4) mainly because it looks so snuggly and I might steal it!
I remember the days we used to go out to eat without planning where will have a high chair! Any date night now, will have to be for three and at 5pm! I decided to find an outfit for Mr Hubby anyway.
For this look I loved this blue Clifford Chambray Shirt by Hammond & Co (1) it is smart, but still casual, which is important for Mr Hubby who doesn’t like to be too buttoned up. I would go for these darker blue jeans, which I think are always a bit smarter, these ones are Jeff Band dark blue straight leg jeans (2). Finally I have gone for these Thomas Nash Tramline shoes (3) as I think they finish the look off nicely, smart enough, but not too shiny!
