There are 77 days until Christmas…. yikes! I still have
lots everything still to do. I love Christmas, but I struggle to remember childhood Christmases. My dad was very ill when I was little and I seem to have lost the majority of my memories.
When we decided to try for a baby, I was so excited that I would get to experience Christmas through the eyes of a child and as a parent. As time progressed and we failed to get pregnant, I felt this dream was slipping away. Finally, we did get our happy ending and Baby was born in March 2013, last year being her first Christmas. I have experienced thirty seven Christmases so far and last year was my favourite by far!
We went to Christmas parties, I made Baby her Christmas stockings, a plate for Santa and reindeer dust.
We decorated our tree with lots of special trinkets, that we will add to each year.
We bought lots of presents and we couldn’t wait to see her face when she saw them all! We spent it, as always, with Baby’s Aunty and Uncle. Baby’s Aunty is an amazing cook and kept us in Turkey and sausages wrapped in bacon.
Christmas 2013 was truly magical for all of us. I can’t wait to see if this Christmas will be ever better.
