We were recently contacted by Love 2 Read to see if we would like to review one of their lovely books. After a quick look at their website, we jumped at the chance. Baby loves books and I think personalised books are a great way of encouraging reading and engagement.
As Baby is 15 months old, on Love 2 Read’s advice, I chose the ‘I Love’ book. It was very simple to create, I simply followed the clear steps to upload the pictures and create the text.
The background colour can be changed and the book can also have a personalised dedication inside the front cover (we did this with her name and just a note saying ‘All the things you loved in June 2014’). Which is a lovely touch.
Baby loves looking at pictures (on the wall or on our phones), so I knew she would enjoy seeing herself and the things she is familiar with in a book.
The book was delivered quite quickly and I couldn’t wait to show it to Baby. Her little face was a picture! She couldn’t quite work out how she was in a book. Or how Mummy, Daddy and Aunty Jen were in there too! At the moment she has to look at it supervised, as it is a paper page book and Baby is still prone to the occasional bout of page tearing. However, she loves looking through it and even waves at the pictures.
There are many other styles of personalised books in the range, so you are sure to find something that would be perfect for your little ones.
Our book retails at £14.95, which for a standard 9 page book is a little expensive, but for a personalised book such as this, I think it is priced well. It is something that we will keep forever (as a keepsake) to remember all the things she loved in 2014!.
Disclosure: We were sent a personalised book in order to do this review.
