Watching my daughter on her feet singing along to every word of each song (well the Frozen ones!) totally mesmerised by her heroes was a memory that will stay with me for a long time to come.
We were lucky to be invited along to experience Disney on Ice and although we don’t do many reviews, this was an invitation we snapped up. Disney is so synonymous with childhood, I knew it wouldn’t disappoint. We decided to take our friends and leave Hubby at home, knowing that the girls would have an amazing time if they experienced it together.
The show was at the SSE arena in London and we got parking close by in the yellow car park, which was around £16.50 and took us about 5 minutes to walk to the arena.
Things were just starting when we arrived and immediately both girls (and us mums!) were in awe. Their favourite characters right there in front of them on the ice; their little faces were such a picture.
Filled with a huge range of Disney favourites and presented in story sections, the performance was amazing. Obviously the girls loved the Frozen section, but other favourites were Beauty and the Beast, Toy Story and Mickey and Minnie.
Like a traditional theatre show, the first half was around an hour with a 20-25 minute intermission before the last, approximately 45 minute, section. The girls are both 4 and they were totally fine with the length, especially as they had ice cream in the break!
I know I can speak for the friend I went with, when I say we really couldn’t recommend Disney on Ice highly enough. We had the most amazing seats, being right in the centre about 7 rows back. However, it looked as if all the seats had a good view, with no pillars to get stuck behind!
All the girls wanted to do was to talk about the show and they were riding high all the way to bedtime. It was such a special day for them and I’m so glad they got to experience it together, having been friends since they were 5 months old.
If you want to take your family to see the show you can get tickets here. Do your kids love Disney?
Disclosure: We were given complimentary tickets in return for an honest review.
