2017 Mamapreneur Revolution round-up

Wow 2017 was FAST, don’t you think? I cannot believe it’s the last day of December! I feel like I blinked and missed most of the year.

I thought I would share my 2017 Mamapreneur Revolution highlights with you. I’m so grateful that so many of you continue to support my blog. I’m honoured to be able to help you grow your blogs. The Mamapreneur Revolution was created in September/October of 2016 to be the home of my online courses, since then it has gone from strength to strength.

2017 was a tricky year personally. We moved to France and it’s taken so much time to even begin to settle in. In terms of my business 2017 has been a ground-breaking year.

I attribute a lot of my business success in 2017 to certain things I focused on;

  • I focused on building an awesome communityThere is no shortcut to this. You’ve got to keep showing up, keep giving value and have authenticity in EVERYTHING you do.

  • I posted a lot less – During the first half of the year I had a hot seat with my mentors and they were shocked by how much content I was producing. I was publishing between 2-4 posts every single day and had been for years. My record was 81 posts in March once! They said what I already knew, but it’s a leap of faith to stop doing something you have always done and hope that things improve. I was getting burned out and there was no way I would have been able to do that for another year. I now post around 3 times a week, but if I’m working with brands I may add a couple more in.

  • I focused on my building email list. I was late to start growing my email list. I wish I’d known from the start that is was sooooo important. I focused on challenges and opt ins and my list has doubled during 2017. I use Convertkit (affiliate link) which is brilliant for bloggers.

  • I stepped out of comfortable! A couple of years ago I decided I would stop letting fear stop me from taking hold of opportunities. 2017 saw me speaking on various stages (including Britmums Live), growing the Facebook live side of my business, recording the first few episodes of our Podcast (launching soon!), setting up my membership site and recording for various summits and podcasts for other people. One highlight was speaking at the Social Ads School online summit alongside huge names such as Kimra Luna, Melyssa Griffin, Amanda Bond and David Moazzez.

  • I launched the Revolution Inner Circle. I launched my membership community in July and I love it so much. The members are all amazing and I love being able to help them more closely. I know 2018 is going to be AMAZING for them.

I can’t wait for 2018. I have so much going on, but I’m really focused on levelling up my business and scaling in 2018.

My business goals for 2018:

  • Launch our collaborative podcast (& get it in new and noteworthy)
  • Launch my new site
  • Publish my book – 51k words down so far!
  • Run a successful online summit – I’ve got some fab people on board to present.
  • Create another digital product (or two!)
  • Add another course to my portfolio
