When the lovely Maria asked if she could write a guest post for my blog, I was so flattered when she told me the topic – 5 ways You Baby Me Mummy’s blogging tips have helped me! The main aim of my blog is to help people, so this was such a lovely validation of the work I’ve been doing. So thank you, Maria. Here’s her post!
5 ways You Baby Me Mummy’s Blogging Tips Have Helped Me:
-
Let’s Get Visible:
I absolutely loved the Let’s Get Visible course and it really has helped propel my blog to new heights. It really got me thinking about my target reader; so much so I actually named her Hayley and decided she is a mum of one who has a reasonable disposable income; she loves investing in days out & travel with her child & but she doesn’t have time to trawl the internet looking for ideas; luckily she follows Happy Mummy and I can inspire her!
Through Let’s Get Visible I started to think what Hayley would want Happy Mummy to look like and how she would like to navigate it. I decided that she would want a clean professional style and set about amending my blog design.

Hayley must have loved the changes as all of my stats are all up!

Canva:
I have to say I had seen Aby blog about/mention Canva a few times but the message really wasn’t sinking in for me. That was until Aby’s Canva video series; I watched the How to customise Canva templates tutorial and I was so inspired. I started using Canva that same day I was so surprised how quick and easy it is to use and I love the professional looks that you can produce on it. I now use Canva for all of my blog featured images and for all of my Pinterest images.
I recently started taking my blog a lot more seriously; with a view to earning a steady income from it. I had seen that a lot of other bloggers edit their images, but I didn’t ever bother. I got talking to a PR at an event and they were saying how images are highly important to their specific client, so I decided to take my images more seriously and try and introduce a uniform look/theme. I knew Aby had written a piece about How To Edit Pictures Fast Using Lightroom* so I gave it a read, watched the accompanying YouTube video; I downloaded Lightroom 5.7.1 that night and signed up for a Free Trial – I was so impressed that by the next morning I had purchased the full version!

I am hoping that Hayley has noticed the difference 😉
I have now even signed up to Lightroom CC mobile so that I can edit images on the go!

Support:
Aby has been an amazing support not just to me but so many other bloggers too. She created the brilliant Mamapreneur Revolution ™ Facebook Group and it has quickly become a go-to place for advice, find other bloggers to support and collaborate with and she even posts a thread weekly where we can all share a link to encourage extra blog comments.

Time:
I was always one of the stereotypical people who “never had enough time”. My motto was very much that I would have been able to create an amazing blog, but I simply didn’t have time! In one of her Facebook Lives by talked about the Pomodoro technique and for me it was quite life changing; I was really enjoying putting it into practice and had definitely become a little more productive. Then this week, Aby posted a piece about time with an accompanying video & I quickly realised; I did HAVE time I was just wasting a lot of it. Until recently I would have been lucky to have achieved one blog post per week; so far this week I have written this Guest Post, 3 Blog Posts and created & edited 3 YouTube videos! It is quite unbelievable what you can achieve when you document your time!
You Baby Me Mummy has always been my go-to site for me for Blogging Advice and Tips and I am so pleased that I have been able to collaborate with Aby.
I have to go now because I missed the BrandWork Webinar yesterday and am desperate to watch the rerun before it expires!
