At the end of last year I was having dinner with my best friend Amy. We were chatting about our blogs and our love of photography; both feeling as if we just had to collaborate on a project that focused on photography (as we already run two linkys together). We both adore capturing our children on camera and sharing those images through our blogs and social media channels.
Over the most amazing beef stew (thanks Amy!), we struck upon the idea of a hashtag, which would celebrate our feisty, spirited children. We had no idea how it would be received, as although other bloggers had started hashtag communities, they were mainly creative bloggers with design/colour led hashtag communities. As soon as we talked about the idea, though, we loved it and when we thought about the Shakespearian quote ‘And though she be but little, she is fierce’, it all fell into place and #LittleFierceOnes was born.
Both Amy and I adore this community and we’re so thrilled that over time the community has widened, with people and brands all over the world tagging their beautiful images and adding them to our gallery. The images in the feed show every aspect of childhood and are all so beautiful.
On Sunday night (which incidentally was Amy’s birthday), much to our delight, the gallery ticked past 50k uploads. This is such a big number for us and is more than we ever dreamed of, but we are so grateful that you all love it too.

As we knew we were approaching the big 5. 0 we prepared with a little photoshoot. It was so lovely to get the girls together and we all had such a fun day.

I am super proud of this picture of Amy and I, as Baby took it all by herself.

As you can see from the shots above we have also designed a Little Fierce Ones baseball tee, which are available to buy through our store on Zazzle. There are also mugs for us grown-ups!
