This is such a common thing to say among bloggers, but how are we in a new month already! I am so shocked that it is October, but excited, as that means it’s nearly Christmas! Whoop! Blogwise September was made up of sixty four posts (which is a little slow for me!), two review trips and lots of great collaborations with bloggers and brands. In our family life, September saw Baby head back to pre school after the summer break and adore it even more than she did before; which is lovely to see and such a relief.
My #BlogClub series is still proving popular and I started the month with my thoughts on collaborating with other bloggers, which could give you some ideas if you fancy working with others.
The devastating images of the Syrian children caught our attention, together with most of the country. Myself and Amy rounded up some wonderful bloggers and in less than 24 hours we launched a campaign in conjunction with the Save The Children initiative. This campaign has come under fire by some of the blogging community, but do you know what, together with the bloggers that helped us (for which we are so grateful) our part of the campaign raised £8k in 3 days. I wonder how much the critics did to help in those same three days? We didn’t want glory, we didn’t want acknowledgement, we simply wanted to help, Save Syria’s Children campaign.
I wrote a little post about how baby and I feel about pre school, as I wanted to mark how things were going here on the blog. My email inbox can be a bit of a nightmare, so I thought I would share my strategies to get it back under control in how to sprinkle magic on your inbox. Baby and I attended the Sway PR Summer party, which was great fun; we love our days in London.
Vlog Stars went live for another round, I love our little vlogging community and it is such good fun doing our tags. Following our trip to euro camp in France, I shared a light hearted look at 5 things I learned about France; did you know they have washing machines in supermarket carparks?!
How to get your blog noticed was my next blogging tips post.
We took Baby abroad for the first time when we went to review eurocamp, which was a great experience. Something which doesn’t get spoken about very much in the blogging community is money. So I attempted to put that straight by writing, sponsored posts – how to negotiate and what to charge, which proved very popular.
We had a lovely day reviewing the Royal County of Berkshire Show and also shared our pick of the best Brittany family days out.
One of my favourite posts of the whole month was 8 photos of happiness, it was so lovely to share the stories behind the photos that make me the happiest.
We started to share a pony for Baby this month, which unfortunately has fallen through, but we hopefully have a alternative one lined up. I finished the month with a style post, which was great fun.
Did you miss any of these? How was your September? Anyone else looking forward to Christmas?
