During my life as a blogger one common issue crops up time and time again for the bloggers I speak to. We’re all beavering away, trying to turn our blogs into whatever we hope they’ll be (in many cases our business), but we often lack direction and focus. It’s so common not to really know where you are in the landscape of blogging as a whole and so it can be hard to know what you should be focusing on next to move forward.
There’s so much information out there on the web, but how do you know that you should be spending your time there over something else.
I’ve blogged about blogging for a number of years now. However, it was only recently that I learned my blogging tips page (which contains links to all my posts in categories) wasn’t very obvious and as such even some regular readers hadn’t spotted it! Every day’s a school day!
I was thinking about the situation as a whole, my site in particular and my content specifically, when I realised I wasn’t serving my readers in the best way I could. I’ve written MANY posts that help people on a daily basis, but I have written MANY more and have so many resources, none of which are useful if people can’t find them.
With this in mind I have restructured a few pages on my site to make sure that wherever you are in your blogging journey you’ll know exactly what you need to focus on and you will have all the information to hand, saving you precious time!
INTRODUCING THE BLOGGING ROADMAP
The Blogging Roadmap starts with a quiz, which you can access here. After answering the questions you will be able to see where on the roadmap you are. You’ll then know exactly what you should be focused on in order to move towards making your blog a business. No more guessing or wasting time.
When you know where you are you will be directed to a page containing lots of content perfect for that phase – this might be free or paid courses, challenges and a thorough list of phase-specific blog posts.
