Baby loves nothing more than a tea party, so I was thrilled to come across the Argos Tea Party competition hosted by the lovely Life of Mum. Our challenge being to host a super-duper toy’s tea party; so we got to work.
Our first job was to think of our theme. As luck would have it, Baby’s best toy friend, Sheriff Callie was due to celebrate her Birthday; so we decided to host a princess birthday tea party and kill two birds with one stone! Mr Hubby picked Baby up some invitations and then Baby and I spent some time customising and decorating them.
The most important one was obviously for Callie, the guest of honour.
Baby was very surprised when I handed her a Princess Sophia dress to wear and she couldn’t wait to put it on; jumping up and down on the spot, shouting ‘me, me’ me’.
Awwww, how cute does she look?! She also adored her sparkly tiara.
Baby invited all her closest toy friends. Joining Callie, was Upsy Daisy, Stuffy, Hallie, Barney Bear, Peppa and George. Her new Princess Castle Little People, also joined in and provided the entertainment for all the guests.
There were a couple of guests that couldn’t come, which was a shame as Baby would have loved to see them, Jess and Sophia.
Once the guests were all seated, it was time to get the tea flowing and for everyone to start tucking in!
Our tea party spread included special ‘Princess’ millionaire shortbread, star sandwiches, magic hoops, and lots of cake.
We made sure there was plenty of cake to go round as all the toys were quite peckish.
Callie loved her special birthday bunting and our princess theme plates, cups and napkins were appreciated by all the guests.
We played lots of party songs and Baby enjoyed having a good dance.
She absolutely loved throwing a princess tea party for her special friend.
I am thrilled that my gorgeous girl had such a wonderful time with her friends and watching her be a Princess for the first time was magical for me.
Do you children throw tea parties? Who is their favourite person to dress up as?
