This Christmas was Baby’s third and it was the first year that she showed a real excitement during the build up; which made it even more exciting for us. When the reindeer food had been scattered on the front garden and the goodies left out for Santa, there was nothing else left to do but hit the hay and try to get some sleep before the big day.
On Christmas morning we took her stocking into her room saying Santa left it outside, as he didn’t want to wake her. In reality we didn’t want her waking in the night, seeing everything, then not going back to sleep. The light in our house is terrible, so you will have to forgive the quality of the pictures.

She was quite tentative about opening her stocking at the start. I think she was quite disbelieving that all of the presents were for her. However, she soon got into her stride, ripping off paper and after a quick inspection passing the toy to her daddy.

Then it was time to go downstairs and see what else we could find. She was so excited…

and VERY lucky!

I would love to be able to say Baby tucked into her Christmas dinner, but the truth is she ate three pigs in blankets and that’s it! I wish she ate better.

We had a really relaxed day; Mr Hubby, Baby’s aunty, Baby and I, which was lovely. I do really enjoy not having to travel on Christmas day to see family, as for the last 16 years we have had Christmas at our house, with Aunty J cooking! Yes, we are very lucky!

Christmas is so special through the eyes of a two year old.

Baby was very good at helping us adults open our presents too! I was spoiled by Mr Hubby who got me some posh lights (to try to improve our dark home for photos and videos), a lovely camera strap and lots of bits and bobs. I purchased a lens kit/mic for my phone and blogging diary from money my mum sent me. So I am all set up for the coming year.

Baby was thrilled with her stacks of Frozen presents, her little face was a picture each time she opened a gift.

Her camera was also a massive hit, she hasn’t stopped taking photos since she opened it.

Apart from Frozen, Baby’s other film love is Toy Story (but not Toy Story 2, don’t make her watch 2!) and she was so happy when she opened Buzz, Woody and Jessie.

On Boxing Day my Mum came round with her partner; it was the first time in about 16 years that we have seen her at Christmas and Baby loved seeing Nanna.

I adore Christmas, for me the best thing about it is spending time with family and although I find it difficult to slow down, it does help me that everyone else slows down too, so I have no choice which does me good.

Anyone for cake?
I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and are ready to make 2016 awesome.
