Autumn’s Best Bits

I love Autumn, for me it signals the start of the Christmas preparations.  The good TV starts and I love the opportunity to wrap up warm and cosy.  However, when the skies are grey and the rain is pouring, it can sometimes be difficult to see the beauty that is all around.  That is, unless you see it through the eyes of your daughter.  A day like this, to a toddler, is all about one thing and one thing only….. PUDDLES!

We recently took Baby out for a walk to experience puddle jumping for the first time.

Autumn

She adored it!  Every puddle we passed HAD to be jumped in and she accompanied each jump with a squeal sound effect!  Some puddles required Mummy or Daddy’s hand, just in case they were bottomless.

As we walked further into the woods, she was amazed watching the leaves fall off the trees in front of her and finding conkers at her feet.  So to us it might just be another wet Autumn day, but it was a whole new world for our little person.

This is my entry for a competition with Sykes Cottages, to write a blog post about Autumn’s best bits.  You can join in too, just go to Sykes Cottages to find out how you can enter.
