Welcome back to my new series, ‘5 Things’. With Valentine’s Day on the horizon (6 days people!) I thought I would share
That make Mr Hubby my lobster
If you have never watched Friends, then that statement might have passed you by. Oh and if you have never seen Friends, where have you been! Seriously?! Anyway I digress, the theory is that lobsters mate for life, so here are 5 Things; that make Mr Hubby my lobster.
- He is really funny – Even after almost 16 years (wow!) he can still make me properly belly laugh. We share the same sense of humour (in the most part) and we love to watch stand up comedy. Something we used to do a lot before Baby came along.
- He calms me – I am grateful for this effect he has on me. I have had some struggles over the last couple of years with PND. Mr Hubby has fielded many stressed phone calls from me while he is at work, poor thing. Just talking to him makes me feel better and he can always talk me down.
- He ‘gets’ me – Maybe because we have been together for so long, but Mr Hubby probably knows me better than I know myself. He can order for me in a restaurant and pick exactly what I would want. He knows how I would react the situations and he genuinely is the other piece of my jigsaw.
- He is so kind – He will always help people. Strangers in shops, anyone that needs assistance, he will put himself out to help them. I think the world needs more people like this.
- He looks after us – He works full time and still does most of the household jobs too (I know I am spoiled). I don’t mean to be a rubbish wife, but most of the time I am and he never makes an issue of it. He just quietly makes sure Baby and I are both cared for and asks for very little in return.
So you see he really is my lobster! Here’s to another 16 years!
