Last month we went to Camp Bestival and although we knew Baby would love it, we also knew how much walking would be involved for her. In 2015 we took an old stroller with us, but being three and very independent, we knew she wouldn’t be keen on getting in a stroller!
As if by magic, just as I was contemplating our options I heard from YippieYo who have created their unique Crossbuggy. They combined elements from a pushchair, a hand-drawn cart and a child carrier to create an all-terrain buggy that is highly manoeuvrable, durable and with space for two children aged from one to six. Although we only have one child, we knew the extra space would come in handy for bags.

When you need to store the YippieYo, it can be easily be folded down. The handle folds back on the chassis and the wheels can be removed. This was a lifesaver as our car was already overloaded with camping equipment.
One feature that makes the YippieYo different is that it’s pulled rather than pushed like most buggies. This means that obstacles such as stones and rough terrain are easily managed. The only issue we had with pulling it was how our backs twisted a little when we were pulling it with one hand. It managed the vast hills at Camp Bestival with ease.

Baby was always happy to sit in it, unlike buggies or prams. She loved having an input into the colour of her new transportation (there are seven different colour options) and she was super excited when it arrived in a box bigger than her! We were sent the co-ordinating stroller bag, which clips onto the back of the seat; this was really handy for all of our daily essentials. I also found I could pop a rolled up picnic blanket under the bag, when we were away from the tent for the day.
We were really pleased with the amount of space Baby had in the YippieYo and how many other things we could pop in there too. The YippieYo was the subject of many admiring glances and comments from other festival goers too!
