As Parragon Book Buddies we get sent a lovely new book to show you each month. As it is now October (I know can you believe it!) the book we received was Halloween themed; ‘Pumpkins Pumpkins Everywhere’. Although it is a paper paged book, it is aimed at young children, following various different pumpkins out trick or treating.
I have mentioned it before, all Parragon books are beautifully illustrated, making them a joy to read. The book is written with very simple text, describing the different pumpkin characters.
Baby was actually a little apprehensive of this book after she noticed the witch illustration on one of the pages. It took a few goes to get her interested in reading it again.
Baby is getting to the point where she can deal with a little bit more of a complex story, so while she enjoyed reading this book, it didn’t keep her attention for long. I would think it would be perfect for one to two year olds.
It is so lovely to have books themed for the season and if you have a younger child, then this one is a sure fire winner.
