Our house gets messy pretty quickly; with a toddler and two dogs it seems as if it is a constant battle to keep things in order. Spring is upon us and Mr Hubby has been at home a little more than usual, so we decided to give our house a little Spring spruce up.
Neither Mr Hubby or I would make Kim or Aggie quake in their boots, so we were very happy when Vax offered to send us a Vax Air Revolve Pet to help us.
The Vax Air Revolve is a portable, yet high performance vacuum. One of the main bonus’ of the Air Revolve is it’s StairStability technology, which allows you to sit the machine securely on the stair, without worrying about balancing it. The vacuum has a powered brush bar, ensuring a deep down clean, which lifts embedded dirt and pet hair from the carpet with ease. Especially useful for high traffic areas. It comes with lots of tools which help you give your home a thorough clean; a crevice tool and even dusting and upholstery brushes, so you have lots of help getting in all the nooks and crannies.
Featuring a self-correcting design, the Vax AirRevolve mirrors the movements you make and means you can go from room to room without the vacuum getting stuck. Its multi-cyclonic technology means exceptional performance with no loss of suction. The Vax is also bagless, so you can just empty the canister and wash the filters when necessary; no more buying bags.
The Vax really did make light work of our hoovering. It is quite heavy, but it is exceptionally powerful, and you can really feel it hanging onto the carpet, so you know it is cleaning deeply. It was easy to move around, which is fabulous and saves you time. The powered brush bar is great and gives such a deep clean where needed on carpets, this function can be turned off when using the vacuum on hard floors.
Apart from the weight, the Vax AirRevolve Pet is an awesome vacuum, which really does deliver outstanding deep cleaning.
“What do you mean it’s not a new toy for me?!”

Spring Cleaning tips
- Clean a microwave with zero effort – place 2 cups of water in a bowl with 2 tablespoons of vinegar and some lemon essential oil if you have it. Put in the microwave for 5 minutes (be careful removing the bowl and I would recommend leaving the door shut for a while for it all to cool down a little). Then the dirt will easily wipe off.
- Use a squeegee to get up stubborn dog hair from carpets (if you haven’t got the Vax Pet like us!).
- Clean blinds with a sock dipped in vinegar, rung out and slipped over your hand.
- Make your own wood furniture cleaner and polish. Mix 1/2 teaspoon of olive oil and 1/2 cup of vinegar or lemon juice in a plastic spray bottle. Shake well and spray onto a microfiber cloth to use.
- Use your Spring cleaning time as an opportunity to declutter. Get yourself a couple of boxes; one for the charity shop, one for storage and a bin bag. Then, as you go through the house, you can declutter too.
- Swap your clothes round in your wardrobe. To fully embrace the new season pack away all your winter things and pop some lighter weight pieces back in your wardrobe.
- Give your patio a wash down and wash your garden furniture. You might not be out there that much yet, but you will just want to get out there on the first lovely day.
