Last Monday we fancied a day out and so we headed to Wellington Country Park, for their special Halloween event. Wellington isn’t too far from us and they often run special themed events, which Ava loves. We have been to a Fairy and Princess Party day previously, an Easter Egg hunt and a few others.
Last time we visited we messed up the order we did things and let her have her face painted straight away, which mean’t she couldn’t go on the giant inflatable bouncing pillow. So this time it was our first stop. She LOVED it, I think she is Tigger at heart.
Face-painting was calling (as it always does for our little one!), so we went to see what she wanted to be transformed into. Not surprisingly, given her choice of outfit for the day, she chose a witch.
There were various performances throughout the day and Ava asked to go to one of the shows. She was so adorable sitting with the other kids on the floor at the front, soaking it all up.
The facilities at Wellington are really great and our girl does love a playground, so we spent quite a lot of time in there. I just can’t get used to how able she is; her climbing would put spiderman to shame!
She’s such a determined little adventurer! ‘I can do it Mummy’ rings in my ears a lot of the time.
We did a little spot of crafting, she made a flag; then we went in search of a cuppa.
Just before we left for the day, Ava asked to go on the ghost train. We had such a fun time.
We has such a lovely family day. Wellington Country Park is such a fun day out, even when there isn’t an event on.
