There’s a place in the south of England that once a year makes magic for thousands of families. That place is Camp Bestival. We’ve been lucky enough to be official ambassadors for the last two years and we’re thrilled to be ambassadors again this year! Whoop! Seriously, you can’t imagine how amazing the Camp Bestival experience is; you have to experience it for yourself.
Ava was just over 2 year old when she experienced her first Camp Bestival, she had the most awesome time. Last year, with an extra 12 months under her belt, there was even more fun to be had. She talks about Camp ‘Bestibal’ 🙂 regularly; a sure sign she truly loved it.
For those of you who are new to Camp Bestival. It’s a family friendly festival at Lulworth Castle in Dorset. I cannot give full credit in this post to everything the festival has to offer, it is simply too vast, but there are activities and entertainment for the entire family. Oh and the FOOD! Don’t even get me started on the food!
The stages are bursting with awesome live acts, DJs, comedians, circus performers, the most amazing funfair, an epic craft tent and so much more. Last year, Ava and I got our faces painted every day and she loved chick handling in the children’s farm area (which was also a daily visit for us!).
Dingly Dell is every bit as magical as it sounds and Ava loved the 50 Things meadow. She had rolling down the hill races, learned to blow grass trumpets and made her own necklace out of a log. Perfect kid’s fun!

There are so many camping options from pitching your own tent in the main area, in Camping Plus or VIP to staying in the pop up hotel or one of the wonderful boutique camping options. You can check them all our the here.
For us, Camp Bestival is definitely a highlight of our year. We make amazing memories that I know will stay with us for a long time. The atmosphere stays with you too. Those lazy days soaking up all that the festival has to offer and just enjoying being with family and friends are perfect.

This year the lineup includes acts such as Madness (much to my husband’s delight, Mark Ronson, T’Pau, Leftfield, All Saints, Anne Marie, and loads more. There are attractions everywhere, you will be spoiled for choice.
I literally cannot recommend the experience highly enough, if you can, go – you won’t regret it.
Disclosure: We are official ambassadors for Camp Bestival
