SmoothPack Station Review

Baby has always loved eating/drinking fruit from pouches.  Ever since weaning she would prefer to do it herself from a pouch rather than eat it from a tub.  She wouldn’t dream of eating ‘actual’ fruit in whole pieces, but she has never been able to get enough of the pureed variety!

Cuckooland asked if we would like to review their Smoothpack Station, which is an economical way to feed your child pouches.  I would much prefer to feed Baby fresh fruit, so I thought this would be the perfect way to combine freshness with Baby’s need for a pouch!

Smoothpack Station

The Smoothpack Station is really easy to use, attach one or more pouches to the nozzles around the bottom, placing caps on the ones you are not using.  Then simply pop your chopped up fresh fruit into the container or pre-made smoothie.  Puree the fruit with a handheld device and then slot in the plunger (which is also a storage container for the dishwasher attachments and a couple of extra nozzle caps).  As the plunger twists down the pouches fill up.  Simple.

The Station comes with four colourful 125ml squeeze packs, which have a clear side so you can see what the contents are and two larger 250ml clear sports packs suitable for adults.  You also get two spoons, which attach to the squeeze packs to help with feeding younger children.

SmoothPack

Smoothpacks are fridge/freezer safe and are BPA free.  They feature a double zip lock side closure, which is much easier to open than other brands I have used. This makes the pouches easy to clean and can be reused many times.  Like the Station itself, the pouches are dishwasher safe, and come with stands to keep them open when being washed.  The station has a 500ml capacity and can take food temperatures of up to 70 degrees celsius.

The Smoothpack Station also fits most branded sachets.  However, spare sachets are available for the price of £6.95 for 4 smoothpacks and 2 spoons.  The starter unit we reviewed costs £19.95.

SmoothPack

We really like the SmoothPack Station, easy to use, clean and helps us get fresh fruit into Baby’s diet, without bankrupting ourselves on pre-made pouches.  A great price too, when you think pouches are on average £1 each.

Disclosure: We were sent the SmoothPack Station in return for an honest review.
