It’s Friday and so it’s time to link up with the lovely Jocelyn from The Reading Residence and decide on my Word of the Week #WotW.
This week my word is;
It has been glorious hasn’t it? The sun on our faces, driving with the windows open, sunglasses making a reappearance after a winter of relegation. We have been making the most of the sunshine this week with days out, sunny car boot sales, garden play dates and a fair bit of swing time in the sun. A bright, sunny day seems to make so much difference to people’s attitudes, it certainly makes me feel brighter.
On Saturday, we had a fabulous trip to Lepe beach and the weather was amazing. Oh, how I would love to live by the sea, it is so tranquil, but we would need to win the lottery. I have spent some snatched moments in the garden trying to finish painting Baby’s playhouse, I can’t wait to show you all, I love it so much. I caught the sun on my painting arm. Why is it that, as parents, we ensure our children are slathered in sun cream and completely forget about ourselves?!.
We had a girls picnic in the park. My sister in law thinks it’s funny that we live in the countryside, but drive into town to go to the park. Sometimes I just need to people watch. Living in the sticks can feel a little solitary and I enjoy walking round the shops and popping over the road to the park. Sitting in the sun, watching the world go by.
So ‘sunshine’ has shone on our week. Which word sums up your week?
