Our daughter has an obsession; something she does all the time, wherever she is. Sometimes it can be a little awkward; sometimes it can be funny. Whether we are just at home, or out for the day, it will always be the same.
You se,e our daughter is a kleptomaniac…
I rarely see her without something in her hands. She LOVES carrying things, anything as long as her hands are full she is happy. On a recent trip to a wildlife park she spent so long stealing collecting stones and trying to carry them around with her. Whether is it stones, a ball on a string, a hula hoop or LOTS of crayons, she is at her happiest when something is in her hands.
I have to keep my eye on her as she has been known to sling a stranger’s handbag over her shoulder and wander off with it. Car keys in handbags are another temptation quite often difficult to resist. She ends up with arm loads of ‘things’ at times, when her little hands are just not man enough for the job.
I love our crazy little klepto and all her strange little foibles.

Haha you will have to make sure that you teach her about decluttering too then.
Ez is the same, we can’t walk down a road without him collecting ‘very important stones, leaves and twigs’ which then get put in pockets and found in the washing machine days later!! xx
Maybe she will be a hoarder later in life 🙂
I think it’s very cute, she collects things that obviously interests her.
OOh she looks amazing in yellow, that jumper is fab x
Just you wait until you find something from a supermarket in their trolley. I have had to actually take stuff back and pay for it!
haha, that’s so funny, bless her, she’s such a cutie x

Aww how cute!
My husband’s youngest son used to do this, and then he would give away his hoard as presents when we got home, it was so cute =)
I think all children go though this at some stage, Tigger has a thing for stones filling his trouser pockets with the stones from pre-school
love this I bet you can never find things after she has helped put them somewhere!
It may be cute now but on more than one occasion I have had to go back to a shop to pay for something my son has picked up! Lol.
Keep your eyes on Baby at all times! It just shows she is interested in things around her.
lol, she’ll be filling her pockets and you’ll be finding a washing machine full of stones before too long!
lol…. Kiki was the same when she was that age!
It’s so cute all these little fixations they get. My daughter sometimes gets hold of something and insists on keeping it with her all day.
i just think that at this age is just normal. they don’t have a sense of belonging yet that is all 🙂
I have one of those too and when we are in soft play he always goes for people purses #eek
your baby is so cute and looks really happy in the yellow outfit.
Are yes my daughter has this with gems ,x
That is so part of the age. It’s everything that is mine, is mine age, and everything that is yours, is now mine too age.
What a cute little habit. My Fran is obsessed with money and always likes to have a penny in her hands! x
Oh, I love this! Sneaky baby! x
So cute! I especially like the photo at the gym of her taking the ball for a walk 🙂 Arthur has a real thing for keys. I’m just waiting for him to find an impossible hiding place for mine! X
Awww – she’s a little magpie!! x
This made me smile! I know a little girl who’s so like this!
Yep we have had the stones in the washing machine thanks to my girl! Son used to obsess about blu tack and even now cannot resist faffing on with it!
I love that she loves to collect things – especially slinging stranger’s bags over her shoulder! So funny!!
Haha this did make me laugh Aby because LL and Mads are both exactly the same. We love to collect ‘treasures’ and I find lots of random things under Mads pillow at night time. So sweet! x

I think we need a bigger house already hun! 🙂 x
This is so cute! It reminds me of my son, when he was around 18 months old he took to picking things up and ‘hiding’ them in my husband’s sock drawer. Whenever we couldn’t find anything like our keys or our mobile phones…we knew exactly where to look! #magicmoments
