The List #43

Welcome to ‘The List‘.  If you are new here, ‘The List‘ is a great linky that I co-host with amaze-balls Hannah from Mums’ Days.  The idea is simple, just link up any post that is in list/bullet point format, easy!  I use mine to record my weekly highlights, but yours could be a ‘top ten’ list or anything you fancy.  Posts can be old or new, all welcome.

This week I am linking How to write a winning pitch and Being a blogger.  Hannah is sharing Accountability – the key to reaching your goal? and 11 tips for long car trips.

From Live. Love. Blog we are also linking our first Pro Blogger Spotlight with Katie from Mummy, Daddy, Me.

My favourite posts from last week were;

dad

I LOVED Al’s post sharing 10 things he loves about being a dad.

Lucy’s post covering the 10 rules of hotel etiquette was awesome.

Beth wrote a great post on blogger nightmares.  I am still having some after reading!

Now time for my list;

REAL LIFE

  • It has been hot, hot, hot!  We have spent most of the week playing in the paddling pool or sheltering inside when it all got too hot.
  • I have started decluttering, I need more space and it will be better for my mind.
  • I am enjoying having my desk – it is given me a better work life balance.

BLOG & SOCIAL MEDIA

  • We were offered the most phenomenal holiday, just trying to sort the logistics to see if we can make it.
  • Trying to utilise new systems to make me feel more organised.
  • We went to a Roald Dahl event at the weekend.  See my giveaway below.
  • New blog discovery: A lovely US DIY blog Jaderbomb.
  • Giveaways I have shared: Matilda Goody Bag

So you know what do to, grab the badge and link up your lists. I can’t wait to have a read!

  1. Hope you manage to sort the holiday – how exciting!! Look forward to hearing about it. I love Roald Dahl too. Another busy week you have had! Thanks for hosting #TheList

  2. Oo I do love a good declutter! I used to be THE biggest hoarder but since being pregnant with our daughter I became ruthless – chucking eveyrthing out/giving it to charity in readiness for our daughters arrival. Now she\’s here I can see myself becoming a hoarder again – uh oh!

  3. Thanks for hosting, lovely. Having your own desk is fab isn’t it – helps separate work with life xxx

  4. Glad that you’ve been enjoying the sun! Paddling pools really are a lifesaver aren’t they? Sounds as though you are getting all organised – perhaps I should do the same instead of spending so much time in the paddling pool…thanks for hosting x

  5. Oh Roald Dahl is my absolute favourite author ever!
    Thanks for hosting, hope you guys are surviving in the heatwave! Meanwhile, it’s 1 degree in Sydney tonight… global warming ARGH!!!

  6. It has been SO HOT and it was only on the first hot day that we realised we’d thrown out the paddling pool after it sprung a leak. I’ve sorted that now – thanks to ASDA’s £3 paddling pool – and I think we’ll be hanging out in that all weekend. How exciting about your holiday. I hope to logistics work out for you x

  7. I am the worst for hoarding clutter, decluttering is actually on my list of 30 things to do before I’m 30 that I’ve linked up this week. The weather has been so hot hasn’t it, we’ve spent a stupid amount of time hiding from the heat inside.
    Thanks for hosting, I’m linking up for the first time this week x

  8. I’ve missed “The List”!!! I’m back! Thanks for hosting and for having me, hope you have a great week. Enjoy that pool.

  9. The holiday sounds great! I hope it comes off for you! It has been really hot this week hasn’t it! We’ve also had the paddling pool out all week! 🙂 x

  10. Yayy! Glad you got your desk sorted Aby! 🙂
    Congrats on the holiday offer, I hope you’re able to sort it out so that you can make it and I look forward to hearing more about it if you do (fingers crossed!)
    I love decluttering now that we’ve had Lily, my motto is if I don’t use it and it doesn’t hold any sentimental value then it’s going straight on FB/eBay to make some pennies for baby stuff! Very therapeutic, as you say…!
    Take care X X

  11. Sounds like you’ve had a constructive and fun week. I loved your 5 things you should do with your toddler this week post, it inspired me to enjoy the simple things – and stop worrying about the housework! You have now inspired me to also declutter – that always seems to be on my ‘to do’ list! x

  12. The Roald Dahl event looked lots of fun! What a busy hot week for decluttering – always very satisfying though! Have a fun week with baby and fingers crossed for the holiday, how exciting! x

  13. Having an office space is really important to me makes me feel like I’m a proper business and not just a hobby. Hope you get to go on your holiday if not pass them to me lol!

  14. I really liked your 5 things toddler post and am planning a day where Noah can choose what we do. I think it will end up being a day at the park eating icecream knowing him! I’ve got so much decluttering to do, I just don’t know where to start. I do hope you get everything sorted for your holiday!
