2017 Blogging Goals

At the start of December I organised and ran the 2016 Wrap Party for over 240 bloggers. The idea behind the week long course, with Facebook lives, was to assess your 2016 blog performance and set goals for 2017. Setting goal in a slightly different way to most, by working on 90 day cycles.

90 day cycles have been proven to result in greater achievement, more productivity and more motivation. Here are my goals;

Although I have plotted the outcome goals for quarter 2-4, these would be flexible depending on how my 1st quarter goes. For each quarter I will drill down the processes and tasks I will need to do to get there and allocate time to these on my planner.

I hope this helps you think about your goals in a new light. Do you have goals for 2017?

  1. Good goals, Aby! I also tend to work on 90-day timelines – long enough that you can achieve something significant, not so long that you can afford to slacken off or procrastinate. If you want any advice/hard-earned experiences about starting a podcast, give me a shout.

  2. I’ve just scheduled a post yesterday listing my blogging goals for the coming year. I just need to break each goal down in to practical steps to achieve them now

  3. I love how specific these are. That’s my next step in my diary. The course was fantastic, so much so that I signed up for the pitching one. Really looking forward to getting my teeth into it today #TheList

  4. Ooh you’ve inspired me to get planning! I (intentionally) took a bit of a step back from blogging while the kids have been home for Christmas but I kept all your Wrap Party emails and intend using those to help me plan goals for the year ahead! Best of luck with your goals, I have no doubt you will achieve them all and more in 2017! X #thelistlinky

  5. Wow these are some goals Aby! You’ll rock them, you’re so determined. My own blogging goals include continuing to improve my photography; vlogging; building my new blog, and earn some income from it. Xx #thelist

  6. Goal setting is a great way to focus.
    We’re just starting working on our 3 month goal. As December closes we set our selves 2 goals. one on instagram and one on facebook. fingers crossed the figures stick as we cross the finishing line 🙂

  7. Really tight aims and objectives – I really like the idea of 90 day cycles – definitely lots of food for thought here… Do you think my hubby would mind if I start writing my blogging goals list in this way instead of a date night with him?! #thelistlinky x

  8. Sounds like you’re all planned out for you 2017. I’ve got my immediate tasks decided, but still need to break down the end aims #thelist

  9. Very inspirational. Great to break them down by quarter. I’m going to write some blogging and business goals this week. Good luck with yours!

  10. Wow someone is going to be a busy lady! I think what you’ve said about leaving room for flexibility is key though. With another baby due any day now, I’ve set myself goals and included them on my blog for accountability but I suspect consistency is the thing which will go out of the window for me this year (first quarter at least) and then I can increase productivity once we’re all back into a normal routine and got used to the new arrival.

  11. Your wrap party was so inspiring, thank you so much. I’ve written my goals for the year, and more precise objectives for Q1. I feel so much more organised and clear. I just have to stick to it now!! #TheList
