Now 2015 (The Year of the Sheep) is behind us, I thought I would share my top ten posts in terms of traffic from last year. I always find it interesting to see what sort of posts have done well for others and mine are quite a mix.

1. The Linky List
I almost didn’t publish this post and I am so glad I did! I published this post in August 2014 and it has done really well to have been my most read post of 2015. Proof that useful post, which offers value to the reader is evergreen and as such will keep driving traffic. This post was also 2014’s number two, in terms of views.

2. 15 Awesome Christmas Cards You Can Make With Kids
In contrast, I put this post together for this Christmas 2015 and it was published on 26th November. I find it amazing that in a month it attracted enough views to be my second most viewed post of the year. Again, it was a useful post offering the reader something concrete and was timed well, as the Christmas build up was beginning.

3. How To Personalise a Children’s Playhouse
Another post from early August 2014 making it into my top ten. I loved transforming a standard unfinished playhouse into this cute little home. We also erected white fencing down the whole garden, so she would have her own garden and gate.

4. Baby visits Peppa Pig World
At the end of May 2015 we went to Peppa Pig world on a review trip. Baby had a great time and my post about the day comes in at number four. Posts like this are searchable evergreen content all year round.

5. Blogging; A Full-Time Job?
Published at the end of April 2014 and last year’s number one post. This post has been a good servant to me, it continually gets retweeted and commented on even now. A post I wrote on a whim one day after being fed up with the ‘oh you got it for free comments’.

6. How To Become A Brand Ambassador
I shared some advice about becoming a brand ambassador in May last year. It focuses on how to work on your blog and position yourself to be in the best possible position to secure an ambassadorship.

7. How To Work With Brands
Early last year I shared some of my tips on working with brands. When you start blogging there is no ‘how to blog’ manual, so I hope that sharing my tips will help out other bloggers, especially newer ones.

8. Blogging: Are You Ready To Go Pro?
This post is from July 2015. A lot of people’s dream is to blog professionally and I am lucky to be able to do just that. I hope this post helps people who feel that they are ready to make the transition feel more confident about it.

9. Blogger’s Christmas Wish List
A surprising hit for me was this wish list post which I published in December 2015. In three to four weeks it gained enough views to make it to number 9. Although this is a Christmas themed post, I think it will be evergreen.

10. How To Write 17 Fabulous Posts A Week
Finally in at number ten is this post from July 2015. On average I publish between two and four posts a day. I don’t expect anyone to publish this many, but I shared some ideas and tips on how to be more productive.

Have you looked at which of your posts made your top ten? Are there any surprises? I would love to hear about what went well for you in the comments?

This is really interesting and I remember loving some of these posts, especially the playhouse one which I still haven’t got round to building. 😉 I am awful when it comes to google, I still get a fair bit of traffic from it, but my posts aren’t really things people would search for or that I put on Pinterest, so as a result most of my traffic comes direct or via Twitter. I think I would be disappointed if I checked out my top 10 posts. 😉 x
