What I am wearing to BritMums Live

With two days to go until the biggest parenting blogger conference in the UK, the excitement is definitely building!  BritMums Live is a great event and I love it. It gives the opportunity to meet your friends, make new ones, learn and be inspired.  There is a lot of chat about what people will be wearing and to be honest anything goes really.  As I don’t get out much, I like to make a bit of an effort!  I thought I would share my outfits with you all.  I was being sent dresses, but at the last-minute things changed; so I went and picked my own and I am really glad I did.

Here is what I will be wearing

On Friday I am wearing this striped dress from Taking Shape.  I adore the uneven hem and it does feel great on.  I don’t like my arms, so I have teamed it with this black mesh over dress (not the green under dress), which pops over the top, covers my arms and gives the look more interest.  I will just pop on some tights and probably wedges.

There isn’t enough time to go back to your hotel to change before the BIBs evening awards. However, I have heard that most of the finalists (and a few others) get changed for the evening.  So I have bought this maxi dress from Monsoon to change into.  I love dresses from Monsoon, as they are cut so well.

Then I have another dress from Taking Shape to wear on Saturday.  A bit more casual and really easy to wear.  I have not decided what shoes I will wear, probably depends on how many pairs I can fit into my bag!

I will also be wearing some lovely jewellery from Anna Lou of London, who I am ambassador for.  These are the pieces I am taking.

  1. Love the stripy dress! Gosh, you’re changing for the evening!!! I was going to come in the dress I’m wearing to work in Friday… Might have to give this a tiny bit more thought. First timer!!

      Well I had an extra dress and Hannah said Vicki was changing! Apparently the finalists do?! I will have it in my bag but might not bother, depends how travelled in my clothes feel I guess xx

  11. Great dresses! Now I suppose I had better give some thought as to what clothes I might take with me tomorrow. (Wonders if he can get away with a scruffy, unironed t-shirt, shorts and flip-flops …)
