Some people get their kicks from a cheeky cocktail, others from a gin or a whisky chaser but not us, no ladies and gentlemen in our house we get our kicks from Cravendale. Yes, there is nothing like a big ol’ glass of the white stuff to get Baby firing on all cyclinders. Milk drinking is where it’s at people!
We take our milk drinking seriously too. Well you have to, it’s very important business.
Baby likes to ensure she has some Cravendale handy at all times and she loves to drink it while……… trying to spot sheep…….
While riding Sali the pony……. Well riding is VERY thirsty work!
and even when in the bath……..
Although she enjoys the taste of Cravendale everywhere we go, she enjoys it best of all when we have it with a homemade chocolate chip cookie, well who wouldn’t?! So we decided to make some to accompany her Cravendale.
Chocolate Chip Cookies
Ingredients

- 280g plain flour

- 1 tsp baking powder
-
- 2 tsp cornflour
-
- ½ tsp salt
-
- 170g cup brown sugar
-
- 100g cup granulated sugar

- 170g butter, melted and cooled

- 2 large eggs
-
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
-
- 175g milk chocolate chips
- 90g white chocolate chips
What we did!

- In a bowl, mix together the flour, baking soda, cornflower and salt.

- In a separate bowl, beat together the cooled melted butter and the sugars with a hand mixer for about one minute. Add the eggs and vanilla extract. Beat until just combined.

- Slowly add in the dry ingredients and mix briefly, just until combined, then fold in the chocolate chips.

- Cover and pop in the fridge for 30 minutes.

- Preheat the oven to 160/170 degrees, making sure you have the racks in the middle of the oven.

- Scoop ¼ cup of dough at a time and roll into balls. Place on a baking sheet with baking paper on it, leaving room for the cookies to spread a fair bit.

- Bake for about 12 minutes, turn the tray half-way through. Keep checking them as cooking time will depend on your oven, but they want to be just browning on the edges and still looking soft in the middle. Let them cool on the baking sheets until the cookies are firm enough to remove. Then move to a rack to cool properly.
- Repeat with remaining batches, until all your dough is gone. Enjoy with a cold glass of milk!
When I asked Baby why she loves Cravendale so much, she said it was ‘delicious, tasty and delicious’. Well you know what they say, out of the mouth of babes!
After Baby had drunk ALL the milk, we were left with some empty cartons. We set to work transforming one into a bird feeder for Baby’s little garden. Have a look at the little video I made.

My little one is obsessed with milk too. Have tried milkshakes but often the plain milk just goes down the best!! Cookies would definitely work though 🙂 I like the idea of using the carton for crafts as well!! Xx #sundaystars

My Toddler loves milk. Especially “allshake” as she calls milkshake. I have to limit those though because she’d drink gallons of the stuff if I let her.
I rather think I’d like to drink my milk everyday with a chocolate chip cookie. Milk is so much better than squash or juice I always think.

Baby certainly looks like she enjoys her milk. Mine are a pain-in-the-neck with it – have to rely on yoghurt and cheese to increase their calcium intake.

Oooh, this has actually made me long for some milk and cookies! Your pictures are adorable – I love the little jar with spotty lid and straw. Making a bird feeder out of the carton is so cool too, I love to upcycle things.
I used to love drinking milk. Now not so much anymore, but I like it when it’s really cold (the mlk I mean).
We love milk in our house too – I like Cravendale milk, I think it tastes really fresh and clean.

I don’t drink nearly as much milk as I should, my daughter loves a glass in the mornings though but I would love the cookies they look delicious!
