A few weeks ago Baby was invited to take part in a challenge hosted by House of Fraser. The challenge? To dress herself! As a three year old this could have ended badly, but we signed up and waited for further instructions. Baby was asked to pick products from certain categories, and I must admit I was a little worried! I care more about how she looks than I do about how I look, so the thought of her picking something crazy and clashing was not appealing. However, I think she is used to her style and actually she does pick some of things she usually wears.

Baby loved picking out her clothes and I was relieved when, after stating that her number one priority was a dress with flowers on it, she picked a Frugi dress. This bright Porthcurno Party Dress is perfect for the summer days ahead. I adore the bright pattern and in two of my favourite colours, she couldn’t go wrong with this choice in my eyes. I had to direct her to select a cardigan or jumper, as the weather isn’t totally reliable yet and that is something she would not have thought of. She selected the Original Penguin Girls Textured Contrast Cardigan, which I don’t think I would have put with the dress but it does work. Who knew that she was a mini Gok Wan!

Baby adores flowers and if they are on a headband that’s even better, so it wasn’t a surprise when she picked the Monsoon Girls Fleur Flower Alice Band, I adore it, so pretty. I know she will wear it so much over the summer months.

Lastly, it was onto footwear and I knew this would be the area in which we would have differing opinions. As a mum, I want something she will be safe and comfortable in and she wants anything covered with glitter. It wasn’t too long before her little eyes rested on the Angel’s Face Girl’s Glitter Ballet Pump With Ribbon Bow and as she let out an excited squeal, I knew I was done for!

I totally love her look. I know the red of the shoes probably isn’t the best co-ordination for the pink in the dress, but if there is one thing this little girl can do, that’s rock it!

She had a great time picking her clothes and then modelling them for mummy. I don’t think it will be long until I don’t have a say at all!
Disclosure: We received these clothes in return for this post. All of our opinions are honest.
