I can’t tell you how excited I am for Christmas this year. Baby will be two years nine months this Christmas and she will understand so much more of what it going on.
For the past two years instead of a chocolate advent calendar, I have created either a small gift/keepsake calendar (first year) and an activity calendar last year. I am sticking with the activities this year, but she has got a chocolate one too!
Here is what we have planned for December
1st Unveil the Christmas tree & Christmas jumper day!
2nd Make salt dough ornaments
3rd Visit John Lewis so Baby can buy a special tree ornament
4th Baby’s Nativity & taking cookies to old people’s home
5th Santa’s Grotto Party
6th Breakfast with Santa
7th Make a Snowy Christmas den and read a Christmas story in it
8th Go out for Hot Chocolate
9th Watch Christmas Movies
10th Make thank you cards to send out after Christmas
11th Santa’s Grotto and reindeer food making at Millets Farm
12th Go to Christmas Market
13th Make fudge for Nursery staff & Festival of Light Procession
14th Make pine cone decorations
15th Plant tic tacs and grow candy canes overnight
16th Have a Christmas disco at home
17th Bake Christmas cupcakes
18th Friend’s Christmas party for the kids
19th Santa’s Grotto visit & shopping
20th Festive baking
21st Take Christmas gifts to neighbours
22nd Drive round to see Christmas lights
23rd Christmas Crafts at Discovery Centre
24th Christmas Eve box

I made a ‘calendar’ with 25 little spice jars, we put little notes in for different activities and of course a little treat. I love your list of activities you’re going to be doing, I may have to copy a few!x
I’ve already done our list, but I definitely love the idea of making thank you cards so early. We’re rubbish at that. I used to be great at it. I now suck, so doing them earlier will be a great idea xxx
I love the idea of planting tic-tacs. Will definitely be stealing this idea. We do an activity based advent countdown too so nice to see other people’s ideas. X
