I love making presents for people, especially if it is something very yummy that I know they will love. One of my lovely friends, Jenna, posted about her slow cooker fudge and I knew I had to try it. It was amazing, so easy to make, seriously you could almost do it in your sleep and best of all it tastes gorgeous!
Each time I make it I add my own variations, sometimes adding nuts, or different flavours and decorations. Today, I just wanted to show you how packaged up nicely, it can make a lovely Christmas gift and might be a good option to make for your child’s teacher this Christmas.
The basic recipe
398ml can of condensed milk
400g of chocolate
Break up the chocolate and pop in the slow cooker with the condensed milk. Give it a good stir and leave on high without the lid. Check and stir every ten minutes for one hour. After the chocolate has melted I turn the slow cooker down to low.
After an hour, pour the mix into a lined tin. I used one which was about 8/9″ square. Then leave to cool a little before popping in the fridge until firm.
You can just eat it as it is or add different flavours and decorate. Here I used milk chocolate for the main fudge and after pouring into the tin, I simply pressed some pecans into the top. Finished with a drizzle of melted white chocolate.
I also made another batch and left off the pecans and instead added an orange flavour to the chocolate mix. Usually I would do this by substituting some of the milk chocolate with orange chocolate, but I didn’t have any so instead I added a couple of generous squeezes of orange choc shot. I finished it the same way with the drizzle.
I have previously made a white chocolate version with crushed oreos mixed in. You could let your imagination run wild, marshmallows, smarties, raisins, maybe sprinkles for a topping. The possibilities are endless.
When firm, simply chop up into pieces and if you are giving them as a gift, pop them in poly bags. I got these ones from Wilkos. Then decorate as you wish, et voilà! You have cute (and tasty) Christmas gifts.
That’s if you don’t eat it all first!
Have you ever made fudge? What is your favourite thing to cook in your slow cooker?

It is so amazing, I made one for tots with white chocolate and crushed up oreos in it! Yummy! xxx
I love this! Sounds fairly easy too. What a fun gift idea. I’m gonna have to do this
This probably wouldn’t make it to the poly bag – I’d just have to taste it, then again… then again just in case!
Oh my gosh this looks incredible. I’m giving this a go this afternoon.

Pingback: Slow Cooker Fudge for Christmas Gifts
Hi, I know this is an older post but was wondering how long does this fudge last?
I’d like to give it as a gift but does it need to be in the fridge, will it last longer then a week? X
I wouldn’t keep it out of the fridge for a week. It softens, so it is best to be kept in the fridge where possible. 1st class post to be immediately opened the other end should be ok x
I wondered why your fudge doesn’t have any icing sugar in it? Ones I’ve made always have it in the recipe.
Oh wow this looks amazing. I think I would eat it all before it made it other people! I have a slow cooker but still havent gotten round to using it! x
