Today Baby turns 15 months old and she is now a full blown toddler. This month has been a voyage of discovery for her, as she has well and truly found her feet!
Her walking has gone from strength to strength and she has even done a few little runs. There seems nothing she loves more, than being on her own two feet exploring the world around her. She adores being outside in the fresh air, just like her mummy in that respect.
She has learned a few new words; Archie (sister in laws dog) and Daisy. To add to Mama, Dada, Baba and tickle. She likes to say ‘uh-oh’ when something unfortunate happens! If we adults start to laugh, she will do the biggest laugh while looking straight at us, she will not be left out. Her understanding has progressed leaps and bounds this month and I think she understands almost everything we say to her. If you ask her to go and get an object, she will wander off and bring back what you have asked for. She will even do this with objects she does know the name of, if you show her one.
Her diet is not that great. She does through phases when it is difficult to get her to eat proper food and not just bread sticks! At the moment she likes eggs, sausages and peas in any combination and she adores fruit from a pouch, but not so much from a pot!
She is (usually) such a smiley little person and seems to spread her smiles like wildfire, when we are out and about. Not many people can resist talking to her. She waves at everyone she meets and usually tries to kiss them. She will try to talk to everyone, often ignoring us to turn round and try to get the attention of others.
She is going through a little bit of a challenging time. I think it is because she is learning so much and hasn’t yet got the language to express how she is feeling.
She is incredible company and I love seeing the world freshly through her eyes. Everything is so much fun and I adore watching her learn every day.
I count my blessings everyday, that I get to call her my daughter. I must have been very good in a previous life.
