Today Baby turns 15 months old and she is now a full blown toddler. This month has been a voyage of discovery for her, as she has well and truly found her feet!
Her walking has gone from strength to strength and she has even done a few little runs. There seems nothing she loves more, than being on her own two feet exploring the world around her. She adores being outside in the fresh air, just like her mummy in that respect.
She has learned a few new words; Archie (sister in laws dog) and Daisy. To add to Mama, Dada, Baba and tickle. She likes to say ‘uh-oh’ when something unfortunate happens! If we adults start to laugh, she will do the biggest laugh while looking straight at us, she will not be left out. Her understanding has progressed leaps and bounds this month and I think she understands almost everything we say to her. If you ask her to go and get an object, she will wander off and bring back what you have asked for. She will even do this with objects she does know the name of, if you show her one.
Her diet is not that great. She does through phases when it is difficult to get her to eat proper food and not just bread sticks! At the moment she likes eggs, sausages and peas in any combination and she adores fruit from a pouch, but not so much from a pot!
She is (usually) such a smiley little person and seems to spread her smiles like wildfire, when we are out and about. Not many people can resist talking to her. She waves at everyone she meets and usually tries to kiss them. She will try to talk to everyone, often ignoring us to turn round and try to get the attention of others.
She is going through a little bit of a challenging time. I think it is because she is learning so much and hasn’t yet got the language to express how she is feeling.
She is incredible company and I love seeing the world freshly through her eyes. Everything is so much fun and I adore watching her learn every day.
I count my blessings everyday, that I get to call her my daughter. I must have been very good in a previous life.

Such a lovely post. Happy 15 months Baby! Arthur says ‘uh-oh’ when things go wrong too – in fact he usually says ‘uh-oh daddy’, which just shows who’s to blame for all the mistakes in our house! 🙂
Author
Thank you! I think it is always Daddy’s fault! 🙂 It is so cute when they start to say things isn’t it x

Thank you. I do love her little outfit x
I think in many ways this can be the hardest time – when they are trying to express themselves but the vocabulary isn’t quite there. Loving the outfit, as ever!
Author
It is so difficult for her, bless her. Thanks x
Aww, she’s so cute – and looking super-cool in that outfit!

What a lovely, lovely post! 15 months! She seems so grown up – comparing her to our Little Man who is 13 months they change so much in just a couple of months don’t they?! That photo is awesome, gorgeous girl! x
Author
Oh thanks hun, that is very kind. Yes, there have been so many changes in the last couple of months. X
It is hard when they try to communicate, but do not have the skills to get their message across verbally, but it is just a phase and this too will pass. It is hard to go from baby to toddler. She is adorable!
Author
Thank you. Yes I am sure it is frustrating for her x
Aww how cute! My little went through phases with her food…still does at 21 months!

Thank you. Hopefully it is just a phase x
Aww, just lovely!! It is a hard time for them when they clearly want to tell you something, but they just can’t! I’m going through it with my niece at the moment. I love seeing how they grow in front of your eyes. I’ve forgotten so much of when the boy was this age, I’m glad to be seeing it all again with my niece!
Happy 15mth birthday Baby!! xx
Author
Thanks hun, the development seems so rapid. All of a sudden she is this little girl, who walks around and understands most of what you say to her xx
What a lovely photograph and she is growing up so fast. As far as the language goes – have you tried baby signing? I used to be a baby signing teacher and my daughter still signs if she is tired or having a shy moment – it was brilliant for all of us to be able to communicate together. I’m starting a free baby/toddler signing series on my site soon if you are interested.
Author
Thank you! I am always amazed at how much she understands. I did want to try baby signing, but tbh we cannot afford all the clubs and Baby Sensory won. I will keep a look out on your blog though, sounds fab x
so so cute xx and what a gorgeous picture as well

Thank you so much x

Author
Thank you so much hun x
Sometimes, when I read your blog and see baby going through all these different stages, it makes me a bit broody! I never thought I’d miss the baby/toddler years and while I’m loving the stages we’re at at the moment, I do miss the speed with which they learn new things at that age.
Author
It is a lovely age, so much happens all at once x
She must be a very good friend with Archie, to learn his name… how nice she made 4 legged friend at her age
Author
She loves him and our dogs, but our girls are a bit put out at being called Archie now 🙂 x
Ah your daughter is lovely and growing up so fast x
