By reading aloud every day, you’re encouraging your child to embrace the written word, which helps to develops literacy skills, which is vital for his/her mental growth. According to Melbourne Institute of Applied Economic and Social Research, children whose parents read aloud to them are a year ahead of other kids who aren’t read to daily by their parents.

Reading aloud will also strengthen your bond with your child.  It also lets them use their imagination while simultaneously learning more about the world around them and the many opportunities life has to offer.

4. Cook together

Allow your kids play sous chef to your head chef every once in a while. When you cook together, you’ll have the chance to bond with them while teaching them a valuable life skill.

5. Commit to their emotional needs

Be selfless in your commitment to meet his/her emotional needs. How he feels must outweigh how you want to be viewed as a parent. If you think that they’re in experiencing issues that you are not able to handle on your own, don’t hesitate to contact a professional to help. For example, if your child shows an unusual amount of fear, it might be ideal that he sees a therapist.

6. Let him sleep

When your little one is tired, his mood will be negatively affected. You must only allow your friends to visit your baby at specific times so that they won’t interrupt your child’s sleep schedule.
