It’s Friday, so it’s time to link up with the lovely Jocelyn from The Reading Residence and decide on my Word of the Week #WotW.
This week my word is;
Apart from our trip to our swimming class, Baby and I haven’t seen anyone this week. So we have been enjoying spending time together and just being ‘us’. We have spent a fair bit of time at our local playground, either walking to it or stopping for a quick play on the way back home.
She wandered about, played on the swing and even learned to love the slide; grabbing my hands and shoving her little bum off the top, shrieking with delight all the way down and then trying to say ‘again’.
Baby picked her first flower and carried it around the playground, the entire time we were there. She offered to give it to me on quite a few occasions and each time pulled it away with a cheeky grin. She held it in her little hand the whole bike ride home. A little daisy, which is now pressed in her memory book.
So while we usually love getting out and about, visiting our friends; there has been something special about the time we have spent this week, just ‘us’.

I love having ‘us’ time. We end up doing it most of the time by the end of the week. Mon – weds are usually busy but thurs and Friday are for us before daddy time at the weekend #binkylinky

I like a balance, I love seeing Baby play with others so it is nice for her to have some company, me too x

I think whichever way round you have your normal routine, it’s always nice to make a change isn’t it.

aw sounds like a lovely week! I love it when you find days for just the two of you, with nowhere to be or people to meet! It always comes as a but of a surprise and a relief sometimes!

It is nice not having to be somewhere, just seeing what happens and going with the flow x

When my son is still a toddler its usually just US too! Us shopping, us walking on the beach, us this and that. Daddy will only come when hes dont with work but then hes got 2 jobs so itll still be us most nights. I am not complaining then as I get to know & enjoy his company before he started pre-school =) #wotw

Sometimes it is really hard to just be you and baby on your own. I know that was one of the hardest things I found. But like you I made sure I got out and about

I adore Mummy and Son time. I find lot in life is just us, although we have family me and Max spend the most time together.

We do too as our family are all so far away, but we usually see friends during the week x
