I love kid’s fashion and I’m actually quite fussy about what Ava wears. There are certain shops that always have items I love and there are others I wouldn’t even look in, as they are just not our style. I’m so lucky that, even at just three and a half, Ava loves clothes too especially dresses. When I was contacted by M&Co recently sharing the news that TV presenter Kate Garraway had designed a kid’s range for them, I was so intrigued. The Kite and Cosmic collection is for kids aged 3-12 years and the pieces start from just £8. Although I can be tempted to spend a little too much on a single kid’s item, I do love a bargain. We all know how fast kids grow and it can be soul destroying to have to give away expensive clothes, that have had little or no use due to growth spurts.

As, like I suspect a lot of mums, I often find it hard to get clothes for my kids that are practical, but also fun and comfy enough for them to really want to wear them. So being involved with this campaign was a real passion project of mine and I am happy to say my children have given it their seal of approval!

Straight away I realised how practical the clothes were, which as Kate said, was a main objective of hers. This embossed skater dress looks smart enough for a party or a Christmas event, but it’s made from soft, stretchy material and so it’s also super comfortable. This is not always the case with formal wear and smart dresses. Ava loved the embossed style fabric and totally would have slept in this dress if I had let her! It is completely our style; a little bit rock chick.
‘quirky yet comfortable’
The piece that I’m most jealous of personally, is this black-and-white checked poncho. I think it’s amazing and would happily give it space in my wardrobe! Ava loves it too.
Graffiti print top is a great long-sleeved tee to pop underneath the skater dress when the weather turns colder. It’s a really comfy, soft stretchy top that will go with so many things.
I think it’s a really great look, perfect for the winter and even more perfect for the festive season. The collection even includes the amazing cat ear-muffs and handbag.

Ava chose the Cat Ribbed Sweatshirt herself and she adores it. Again this piece is stylish, practical and functional; what more can you want from kid’s clothes?
I’m a big fan of shorts and tights on kids, I think it looks really cute and so am in love with this short Cord Dungrees And Tights Set.
Again I teamed the dungarees set with the graffiti top. I love that the collection is mix-and-match; lots of the pieces working so well with each other.
Both Ava and I really love the Kite and Cosmic collection and we wouldn’t hesitate to buy more pieces and to recommend it to our friends.

Those ear muff are so adorable. We had some M&Co clothes when the girls were younger. This looks like a lovely new range. I too love shorts and tights, they are great for children. Plus they look fab with boots at this time of year. Gorgeous photos xx
