The Independent highlights the growing number of people who’d rather hire a professional — but, more significantly, shows the high proportion who have had to get a professional in to put right their DIY disasters.

What Jobs Can a Handyman Do?
The range of jobs a handyman can undertake for you is far too extensive to list here, but these are just a few:
