Last week I turned 38, what a grand old age! I thought I would reflect on the lessons I have learned so far in my life.
- You are stronger than you think.
- True friendship can be found in the strangest of places.
- Don’t go to sleep with your contact lenses in, as you will wake up and think you are cured.
- Having family and friends means you are truly blessed.
- Life is too short for petty arguments.
- Tuna is the work of the devil.
- Laugh every day, it is good for the soul.
- Be nice.
- Full hands make for a full heart.
- Don’t put your Granny in a bag…. (Eddie Izzard fans?….No? Just me then!).
- You can be brave and push your boundaries.
- Music brings you happiness.
- Your daughters face is all the beauty you will ever need.
- Every day might not be good, but there is good in every day.
- Fake confidence until you feel confident.
- The loss of friends isn’t your fault it is theirs.
- Pure happiness is found in the arms of your child.
- Earrings always make you feel more polished.
- Finding your soul mate is a true gift.
- What people think of you is in their control, not yours.
- Your friends can be closer than your family.
- Dark lipstick doesn’t make you look like a lady of the night.
- You really don’t like Olives.
- ……or Coffee.
- Help people whenever you can, the Universe remembers that stuff.
- Your voice should be heard as much as anyone elses.
- Don’t worry so much. Life has a funny way of working out.
- You will always find comfort at the bottom of a cup of tea.
- Just because you CAN do everything, doesn’t mean you SHOULD do everything.
- Your worth is not measured by the numbers on the scales.
- A full heart is better than a full wallet.
- Do it, don’t wish you had.
- As much as you would love to, you can’t sing.
- Mama is THE BEST job you will ever have.
- Cherish your friends like the precious gift they are.
- Always be yourself, unless you can be a Unicorn..then be a Unicorn.
- For every compliment you give to someone else, try to give one to yourself.
- Love yourself as much as others do.
What lessons have you learned?
