40 before 40

40 things before I’m 40

It is my 39th birthday on Saturday; wow that seems so weird. While I am not bothered about getting older, I still think, and feel, as if I am in my twenties. It is a bit of a shock that in one year I will be forty!  So, I decided to set myself a challenge to achieve 40 things that have been on my ‘I will get to them’ list before I turn forty!  Some of the things will be relatively easy, while others will be a bit more of a challenge. When I was half way through my list I saw that Stevie had started her ’40 before 40′ list, so why not pop over and gives hers a read too. Wish me luck!

  36. Take a couple of seconds of video every day during summer and make a flipagram video
  37. Sort my rubbish short nails out once and for all
  38. Drink the right amount of water for a week. I hate water, but it would do me so much good.

  1. Great list, we should go get our tattoos done together, fancy a trip to Cheltenham?! We’re going glamping in the summer holidays, I can’t wait xxx

  2. Wow, these are great goals. I hope you’ll achieve all of them. To me, it soudns pretty ambitious to try to ahieve 40 goals in just one year.

  3. What a fab list! I’m sure you will tick them all off because you seem to be so driven and determined. I’m 29 in September so you’ve inspired me to make a 30 things before 30 list!

  4. I love this Aby and I reckon lots of those goals are definitely achievable. Quite a few of these I would like to do myself. Happy Birthday for the weekend. xx

  5. I love how travelling to NY is the most difficult thing on your list! So you may tick off ‘inspire someone’ straight away! Some incredible holidays planned in there – have a fabulous year and a lovely birthday. X

  6. Awesome List. A Tattoo was one of my things to do before I was thirty. I share the weight goal with you. I also think it’s safe to say you can tick the inspire one off your list. You inspire me to be a better blogger and learn more every day. Have a great birthday x #TheList

  7. Wonderful list of goals, some harder than others. The guilt and comfortable in your own skin, those take some strength of character for sure. But you can do it!

  8. I Love your list. When you learn how to make donuts I need you to share, or better yet just post me some!! Glamping is actually amazing, one of the best holidays we have ever done, you will thoroughly enjoy it and it is way better than camping. xx #TheList

  9. Wow, I love these goals! And I must say, I really admire how you’re always setting yourself goals and then achieving them. It’s so inspiring.
I’m a wee way off 40 yet, but I’m thinking I may shave my hair off when I get there. Extreme, I know, but it’s been on my bucket list for as long as I can remember, and I wasn’t ready to try it when I turned 30! #thelist

  10. Great list! I think you have number 24 done already! Your blog club articles have really inspired me to try and make a go of this blogging malarky. I’m a creative writer by trade, but love blogging so much more!
Agree about Glamping too, always wanted to try it but haven’t. The Hub is dying to go camping but i hate it, and can’t imagine it being any nicer with the kids in tow either! #TheList

  11. Good luck! Quite a few I’d like to do myself, especially New York. I will keep my eyes peeled for any future children’s stories, ebooks and tattoos (ah crazy). Maybe break them all.down into monthly goals and do a few things each month. Then come your 4th birthday we’ll be clinking champagne to your achievements xx

  12. Great list! How amazing would it be to see Santa in Lapland & the Northern Lights?? Sounds like learning French might be a bit of a priority! I love France, I think it would be a great place to live! Good luck with your list. #TheList
