Welcome back to ‘5 Things’, this week I am sharing;
1. Snow Patrol – Chasing Cars.

This song is probably my favourite song of all time. I love Snow Patrol and think this song and its sentiment are beautiful. A few years ago my horse, Ozzy, died. I had owned him for 8 years and it was devastating, like losing a friend. This song reminds me of him, especially the lyric ‘I need your grace to remind me to find my own’. Also on the morning Baby was born, hospital radio came round the ward and spoke to me. They asked me to pick a song and which they would play for us. I picked this song. They played it when I was lying in bed with Baby beside me, on our own and it was very emotional.
2. Christina Perri – A Thousand Years.
[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rtOvBOTyX00]
I sang this song to Baby when she was a few months old and I will always remember the look on her face, it lit up with pure joy. Her eyes widened and she looked euphoric. I sing it to her regularly and her reaction is always the same, joy. The lyric ‘I have loved you for a thousand years and I’ll love you for a thousand more’ resonates with me hugely, as I struggled to get pregnant with Baby and feel as though I have loved her before I even had her, for a thousand years.
3. Ludovico Einaudi – I Giorni

This song is simply beautiful and has such a magical quality. It has an amazing ability to calm me. It is not associated with a particular moment in my love, I just love it.
4. Ellie Goulding – How long will I love you
[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=an4ySOlsUMY]
I adore Ellie’s voice and this song brings tears to my eyes every time I listen to it. I am reminded of how I feel about Baby and how special it is to be her mummy.
5. Katie Melua – Call off the search.
[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oLRdQItGQXg]
I love the quirkiness of Katie’s voice, it’s amazing. This track is our wedding song that never was. I picked it as the song that I would walk down the aisle to. Unfortunately the venue informed me, just as I was about to walk in, that my cd wouldn’t work and they couldn’t use it. I was heartbroken. Even though we didn’t hear it, to me it will always be our wedding song.
What is your favourite song? Do you have sentimental songs?

I love these choices. A Thousand Years is one of my favourite songs too. It featured in Little Miss H’s birth playlist that we never got to play because there just wasn’t the time. Gorgeous song choices lovely. Hugs Mrs H xxxx

Amazing song isn’t it xx
I was playing in a wedding recently and they put a recording of Ellie Goulding on. When the bridesmaid walked in, her little boy in the audience shouted ‘ Mummy you look so beautiful!’….and I cried on impact. Then both the violinists started balling too.
massively unprofessional. Damn ellie Goulding and sweet little boys x
