I love commiting to memory as much as Baby’s childhood as I can. Part of the reason I love this blog so much is that it gives me a vehicle to do just that. To remember silly things she has done, cute things she has said or how we felt about our lives at certain points in time.
For as long as I can remember Baby has always taken one of her ‘friends’ with her when we go out during the day. There are a few front runners, but she does share the honour around a little.
Over the past few weeks she has discovered a love for films; Frozen, Despicable Me and Toy Story are being well watched in our house at the moment. Every time a film becomes the new firm favourite, I can’t seem to help myself and buy her one of the toys. Her face when she see her new little pal, is all I need to keep this little treat fest going.
Taking her ‘friend’ on day trips, then progressed to her taking the chosen toy to bed. In a strange way I love that she has a toy with her. I must remember the comfort of cuddling a teddy when I was a child and I feel happier knowing that she is cuddling her little friend. Happier that she is not ‘alone’ during the night.
When we were on holiday Baby didn’t sleep very well and there were quite a few nights that I slept in her bed with her, keeping her company and giving her comfort. I am so glad she has her friend when I am not there with her.
Recently, although she is still only taking one or two toys out with her, she is taking all six of her favourite toys to bed. There is almost not enough room in there for her.
Do your children take toys to bed with them?

Looking so adorable sleeping there with her friends, they are clearly a comfort to her. #MagicMoments
My little man takes Jess his cat to bed with him. He has about 15 teddies on his bed though. It do cute when he says night to them all. I think they comfort the little ones don’t they? x
Oh God, the saga of “Blaze”! My daughter fell in love with a black and white soft toy cat on holiday. It was in one of those grabby machines. We spent all holiday trying to win it. We won the white one (no good) and the ginger one (nope) and the siamese (not good enough). Eventually we were able to get a sympathetic worker to switch one of our wins for the black and white one who was instantly called Blaze. All in all she cost us about £50. However, it was worth it as my Toddler loves her and sleeps with her every night (and it doesn’t annoy me at all that the darn cat is available on Ebay for £8.99!)

Ha ha that is so funny! 🙂 x
My son takes a few to bed each night. It goes through phases as to which ones he takes and I’m not sure why it changes.
Aww she looks so precious sleeping with her buddies!! My daughter takes two lovies with her to bed. She would love it if I would allow her to take a few of her favorite teddies. 🙂 Occasionally she sleeps with popples, which was my toy when I was little. #MagicMoments
So cute! My daughter seems to have millions of cuddly animals and a definite ranking of favourites although they all get a turn – and I have to arrange them strategically so there’s room for her too in bed!
What a beautiful photo of Baby. My daughter barely fits in her cot with all the teddies she has in there. She also enjoys bringing her favorite one(s) around with her 🙂 x
Those little details are so important. My littlest goes to bed with a whole host of friends and I think it is really sweet. Although I have also found her trying to take the ipad to bed!!
My little girl has to take a particular bear to bed with her and it’s panic all round if we can’t find it. Lovely picture x
I think it’s sweet to see children with some sort of comforter.
My eldest son has a teddy that he sleeps with, my middle son has a koala bear (plush toy not real one haha) and my baby boy has a blanket that he will not sleep without.
LOVE the photo! So captures a moment in time that you can keep forever!x My little lady Hailey has a bed full of “friends” she can’t sleep without.x Her best teddy friend in the whole world is Ben the Bear she would be lost without himxx Really enjoyed your post so touchingxxx

Thanks so much. They are so cute aren’t they xx
Cheeky Chap sometimes takes one toy to bed, sometimes he takes several. He does have one main favourite, Ernie, but the rest change on a regular basis for some unknown reason.
My youngest loves cuddly toys and has way too many. He complains when I change his bed as I always hide some away! #magicmoments
Ahh isn’t it so sweet, my little boy loves taking his teddies to bed, he has quite a few and I don’t mind at all, I think it’s sweet 🙂 Popping over from #maternitymondays
My little girl takes a collection to bed with her, but she has three favourites that she needs to be able to touch 🙂 It’s so sweet! Love the new look by the way x #magicmoments

Thanks lovely 🙂 x
Aw bless her look at her all snuggled up in bed. Funnily enough I said to Mr E just last night about how cute it is that whenever we go to bed and check on the girls that they are snuggled up with their favourite toys. It’s so cute.
PS Loving the new blog design lovely. It looks so smart and fresh. x

Aw – so cute! Little M has a whole collection that he takes to bed too – but he’s only really bothered about ‘Frog’, a scraggy cuddly blanket thing that he ADORES! He won’t sleep without it and likes to twiddle the corners between his fingers! The trouble is we bought a spare ‘Frog’ in case the other one got lost, but HE KNOWS the difference and will always refuse the new clean one – meaning the old scraggy one never gets washed! x
