Gratitude List #65

I love the process of writing a weekly gratitude list, as it ensures I consciously take in the small, but lovely things that happen every day.  Then, they are immortalized here on the page, so I will always remember.

All my loves this week

This week I have loved;

  • Watching Baby eat some of a banana. She usually won’t even try unless fruit is pureed, so this was BIG news!

  • Finding cheap DVDs for Baby on Music Magpie.  I got 9 for £20, which should keep her busy when we are travelling around.
  • Listening to Baby sing along to ‘Let it go’ and waking me up by singing it down the monitor.
  • Going to watch The Levellers in a ruined castle with my sister-in-law.
  • Finally getting excited about our EuroCamp holiday.  We are there travelling today!
  • Watching Baby have the best time ever, just jumping in puddles.
  • How much Baby loved going back to pre school.
  • Buying two pairs of long winters books for £25 in total!  Bargains!
  • Getting a new lens for my camera, thanks to our Argos competition win.
  • That Baby still seems to have totally nailed potty training.

So what are you grateful for this week?

  1. Well done Baby for nailing potty training, we still haven’t really tried with LL, it’s getting a bit silly now! And exciting about a new lens too. I love that top photo of Baby! x

  2. ooh have fun at EuroCamp! I didn’t actually realise you could buy from Music Magpie (maybe I’m a bit slow there, huh? It makes sense now I think about it!) I’ll have to check that out!

  3. Such a fab list this week – so many awesome things. Jasmine won’t eat bananas either. Oh, unless I’m eating – in which case she becomes VERY interested in it.

Have a fab time at Eurocamp. xx

  4. Gorgeous photos – love them! Good girl Baby! What is your potty training secret?!!! I’m sure Baby is younger than my little chap – he’s 2 and a half and has shown ZERO interest in the potty. We are currently trying sweets and surprise eggs as rewards, but he just wants the rewards and is quite happy to keep going in his nappy! x

She is 2 and a half. She just seem to decide. At the start we stayed in for about 4-5 days and left her bottom clothing free, she just used the potty and each time we made a huge fuss and gave her a sticker for her chart. Then she started going in the loo and when we are out in loos or her travel potty. No accidents and 85% of the time dry overnight. The stickers seem to help her but I think she was really ready to do it x

      1. Thanks for replying. Good job Baby! Sounds like you did a great job of encouraging her too. Though think you are right, they are either ready or they are not and sounds like Baby was. We are going to carry on being enthusiastic about the idea of the potty with our little man, but I think not going to push it for the mo, until he seems a bit more ready The bare bottom idea sounds good though! x
