It’s Mums’ List time with Hannah over at Mums’ Days. Mums’ List allows us to share the highlights (personal and blogging) of our week and also the things that still need to be ticked off our Mums’ Lists!
REAL LIFE
- We picked up loads of amazing bargains at the car boot sale (post coming soon).
- Baby LOVED the sea and seems to have got over her water fear #TheLittleMermaid
- Baby continues to be amaze-balls in her swimming lessons #RebeccaAdlingtonMark2
- Our new flooring arrived, just waiting for the builders to come back and sort out all their botched finishing off #CowboyBuilders
- Playhouse is almost painted, I can’t wait to pimp it.
BLOG & SOCIAL MEDIA
- My most popular new blog post this week has been this one. However, the one with the most views, was written last week and is my ideas for homemade Father’s Day presents
- Focus on Pinterest – I have decided to make a concerted effort to improve my Pinterest boards and hopefully increase followers.
- Challenge Yourself linky – I would be lying if I said I wasn’t disappointed that only a couple of people link up each month. With this in mind, I have decided to stop doing this linky and focus my time elsewhere. I am struggling to keep up with everything and feel relieved that I don’t have to worry about this one anymore.
- I have a linky idea, but I think I might run it as a feature/series just for me #ScaredToBeBillyNoMatesAgain
- I approached a clothing retailer this week. I am so excited that they are giving me a stylist session and an outfit for BritMums Live (more soon).
- I started adding my pages to Stumble Upon and have seen the beginnings of traffic from there. As I only have about 3 pages up so far, I am quite pleased and will be adding every new post I write.
- I have added ‘Tweet this’ plug in, which makes nice quote boxes round text and gives readers an option of tweeting it in one click.
- Mammasaurus gave me the heads up that you can now use Pic Monkey to cut out shapes around your pictures. Which is very useful to help things looks pretty.
- On the subject of Pic Monkey (which I LOVE!) I found this quick tutorial on how to change the background of an image.
- We had a lovely goody box gift from MSC Cruises (The lovely outfit is Junior J!).
INSPIRATION
- I have been looking for ways to make our garden special for Baby. I LOVE these pencils and have already bought the paint!
- I saw these a while ago and know that I have to make them. I have the paint, now just need the stones…

We plan on heading to a boot sale tomorrow – if the rain stays off! It’s chucked it down today and they sometimes call them off because of the mud >_<

Oh I hope they don’t call it off. We have a local one tomorrow, but I got so much last time that Mr Hubby would go mad if I got anything else. I hope you get some bargains x
Aw, I’m a little bit sad that you aren’t going to do the Challenge Yourself linky anymore. I was always trying to brainstorm something to put up there but I haven’t gotten around to it yet. Thanks for the Pic Monkey tips! I’m just starting to use that tool.

Thanks for saying that. It was just quite a lot of effort and no-one seemed that interested. So I will use my time elsewhere and hopefully launch a more successful linky. Picmonkey is one of my favourite things x

I’ve also been trying to work on my Pinterest and when I took a blog break I found I had lots of time to play around with it. It’s not where I want it to be but I’m glad I made a start.
