Perfect blogger’s stationery from Pen Heaven

Colour can be so powerful, it can change our mood, remind us of past feelings or events and it can add so much richness to our lives. As humans we are influenced by our environment, so the colours we surround ourselves with can affect us, even down to our productivity. Darker colours, like grey and black can have negative impact on our mood, while bright, while bold colours can do just the opposite.

Pen Heaven have done all the work for us with this great run down of which moods/feelings different colours can evoke. This is the perfect information to use when putting together your next stationery haul. Let’s face it, we’re ALL addicted to a new notebook and a shiny new pen. September is the perfect time to refocus you blogging efforts and pick up some new stationery to help you do just that!

The power of colour

Pink – Oozing warmth and love, pink is excellent for yielding great results.

White – Thwart negative energy with this pure shade. It also offers a cool, clean and chic effect.

Purple – In its deepest shade, this colour promotes nobility, success and ambition.

Red – Big and bold, red means business and shows you are a courageous soul.

Green – The perfect colour to exude wealth and power, green also benefits from grounding properties and healing powers that both help to promote a feeling of safety.

Yellow – A brilliant mood enhancer, yellow brings energy and intellect, helping to open the mind for learning.

Blue – Associated with depth and stability, lighter shades are excellent for tranquillity and calmness, whilst darker hues express power, knowledge and integrity.

Orange – Encouraging creativity and happiness, this shade increases oxygen to the brain and stimulates mental activity.

Black – A mysterious and elegant shade displaying strength and authority, this prestigious colour contrasts well with bright colours for total equilibrium.

Pen Heaven very kindly sent me my own stationery haul, yes, the perfect gift! I am a lucky lady!

The central piece in my new collection was this gorgeous rose gold A5 Saffiano Filofax. It’s packed with useful features, such as the double-page spread diary pages for each week, coloured notepaper and loads more. The cover features card slots, a pen loop and somewhere to tuck your notepad. Pen Heaven embossed the front of mine, which would can do too.

I love diaries and organisers; having tried many different ones over the years. So far, I’ve never found a way of organising myself that I stick too. Bullet journals have been and gone; and countless other diaries have just not made the grade either. I’m so excited about my new Filofax, as it features all the aspects from the other planners that I have liked, all wrapped up in the gorgeous shimmery jacket!

  1. This is going to sound hilarious, but when I was still in primary school in the last year of juniors (1988) it was the craze to have a Filofax… and I totally had one! I still have it with all my silly little diary notes, and top 10 boys I lurved, and all my innermost thoughts! I too have tried the bu-jo but it’s just not worked for me – one day I’ll find a system that works!x
