Body wrapping is big news in the quest to shed a few extra inches. For years it has really been in the realms of beauty salons and large price tags, however now Shrinking Violet has created a home version.
I have discussed my long standing weight issues before on this blog, so needless to say I am always looking for ways to be fitter, healthier, but also slimmer. The Shrinking Violet team sent me a kit to try out at home and I was happy to give it a whirl.
Their message is that after just one treatment you can see results; I was keen to put this claim to the test.
The Shrinking Violet Home Use Kit costs £99 and includes the solution, Shrinky Suit, tape measure, measuring cup and record cards.
So how does it work?
Simply rub the solution into any problem area and pop on the Shrinky Suit. The increase in body temperature cleanes the body of toxins and after one hour you can remove the suit to see the results. The solution continues to work after the suit is removed and so it is advisable to continue to drink plenty of water, to keep flushing the toxins out of your system.
How I found it?
The suit was a little snug on me, I am currently around an 18/20 and am 5ft 10, while it went on it would have been more comfortable a little larger. After popping the solution onto my thighs, bum and tummy area I donned the suit and worked for an hour while it got to work.
After the time was up I took my measurements and I had lost 1″ off each of the 3 measurements I took. However, I do understand that it is water I am losing rather than fat, which could only reduce with diet or exercise.
While the kits won’t solve my weight issues, it is a great product to use before a special occasion if you have a posh dress to fit into!
