The Best of July

Another month races by and it’s time for me to reflect on last months posts and share some of my favourites, in case you missed any!

All my favourite posts from July

I started with month with two friends in our Moving Pictures linky, where you can share your family movies, I love watching family movies, they always make me emotional.  I entered a Parent Panel competition and our entry was 10 reasons why The Valley is better than home, I think I have a pretty good argument!  I was tagged to write my version of the Being a Blogger post, which was fun to write and seemed to have lots of people agreeing with me.

I think we can learn a lot from our children and I shared 5 Things My Daughter Has Taught Me, in my Sunday feature.  Baby is in a lovely helpful phase (most of the time!) and there is nothing she loves more than helping Mummy and Daddy, she does love that dustbuster!  I shared some blogging tips in Are You Ready To Go Pro? and also some thoughts on how to strike gold in your work-life balance.

Amy (Mr and Mrs T Plus Three) and I launched the next instalment of Vlog Stars, our themed vlogging linky and our special bonus challenge – Lip Sync for a lipstick!  I was asked by Cow and Gate Baby Club to share a vlog on What was in my hospital bag.  I packed so much that I actually had three bags!  I returned to my 5 Things feature with 5 Things we will love this summer, sharing some of our summer plans.

What we will love to do this summer

We had a lovely family train journey to London and played some games, which was so much fun.  I captured it in Trains and games.  Time for some more Blog Club, with a post that was very well received 15 ways to avoid blogger burn out.  Seems like lots of us are feeling the burn!

We experienced our first film Premiere when we were invited to the new Thomas the Tank Engine movie in Leicester Square, it was great!  I decided it was time to give my hubby some credit and took up the Before I had a husband tag, which was lovely to write and made me think of how having him in my life has changed it completely, and totally for the better.

In January I set myself some goals and revisited some of them in 5 Things to achieve before the end of the year, fingers crossed I can tick them all off before the year is out.  We experienced Baby’s first sports day, which was such a big event for her and a little overwhelming, but in the end she did really well and it was wonderful to get a few pictures too.

Returning to blogging tips with How to write 17 fabulous blog posts a week, which gave some insight into how I work and how you can be more consistent, even if you only want to write 2 or 3 posts a week.

After years of working on the arm of the couch I unveiled my new blogging space, which I am so happy with; it has bunting and everything!  I have spoken many times about how blogging has given me so many amazing friends and in Friends from unlikely places I share a post on one of the best.

In the last Blog Club of July I shared 10 Facebook Groups to Help Your Blog, hopefully there is one or two new ones for you to join.  Joining in with another tag, this time I am the Baby who… I love tags as they encourage you to write from an angle that you wouldn’t normally and I enjoyed capturing Baby’s essence in this post.
