I love Baby’s nursery, it is pretty without being too babyish. I remember the hours spent putting the tree/bird decal on the wall in it’s MANY parts, whilst heavily pregnant. I used to sit in there, staring at the beautiful things we had bought her, not believing that my our dreams really had come true. Our nursery was featured here if you fancy a peak.
The only problem with her room is the size, it is really small. There is no space to play and as she gets bigger, she is going to need more room.
So we have decided to move her into our larger spare room. When we have guests, we will move her back into her old room and have a sofa bed in her room for guests. Unfortunately her current room is not large enough for a double bed, which would have made things easier!
THE PLAN
Cushions Bed
I think we will need some sort of bunting (pretty much a necessity!) and strings of bright fairy lights. I’m sure I will collect a few more ‘bit’s’ along the way to make it fun and special for her.
Do you have any fun or unique things in your children’s rooms?
If you enjoy my posts, why not

We’re just in the middle of giving Little Man’s room a makeover, too. That move from cot to bed is imminent! And yes, bunting is always necessary!

Oh can’t wait to see it x
I absolutely love decorating and want to just keep redoing our rooms over and over. We are hoping for a big bathroom renovation soon so I am saving my pennies for that, but next on my list after that is LL’s room around the time she moves into a toddler bed. Although I plan on keeping her in her cot until she is a little bigger as we didn’t move Mads until she was almost 2.5 and she still to this day doesn’t get out- she just shouts us! x

I love having the rooms redone, but I hate that we have to do it ourselves! I wish I could just pick the scheme and let a decorator get on with it. Have fun doing LLs room, I plan on keeping Baby in her cot for some time as she is such a live wire she would never stay in a bed x
Just done the same with my two, Millie has had a beautiful turquoise and white room done and Harry has got Teal and Coffee, both have had new desks as they need them for studies. I love doing their rooms so much. Love the idea of the reading nook , one very lucky lady indeed. Cant wait to see the photos xx

I adore that wallpaper, very orla esque. I think it is great to give them the bigger rooms. I love thinking up new room designs!

Thank you! That’s what it reminded me of, but I couldn’t remember the name. I hope she likes what we come up with x
Exciting times! I remember doing LP’s big girl room and am already looking forward to doing Little Man’s! x

It is, she is growing so fast! Have fun doing little mans! x
I’m going to be doing both Kitty and Ozzys bedrooms in the next few months, I’ve always painted murals on their walls but fancy something a bit more grown up for them now. Will keep and eye on how you get on for inspiration!

Good luck with it, I’m sure their rooms will end up fab. I would love to paint a mural on Baby’s wall, if only I could paint! x
These ideas look magical and perfect for a growing toddler. Can’t wait to see the finished article 🙂

Thank you so much, I am glad you like it x
We made a marine / sailor theme nursery… nappy bag, door stopper and few other bits all carry marine theme. Pinterest can be such a great place of inspiration and car boot sales are a perfect place to buy cheap bits which will add into final look.

I LOVE car boot sales. Our fab local one stops during the summer, which is rubbish! x
I love the idea of the reading nook. We are setting one up each for each of the girls and i cannot wait to get started x

The Orla Kiely wallpaper is divine and a classic! We have Ikea spice rack shelves in my son’s room and he loves them 🙂

I love getting rooms redone, but I hate actually doing the work x
I really love the idea of having a reading nook. You have really inspired me to do something similar in our dining room 🙂

Oh that would be great. I would love to see the pictures x
We are in the middle of a make-over ourselves, as J has outgrown his cot-bed. Exciting times! Loving the idea of a hide-away under a canopy.

Oh I will have a look at your pictures. x
I adore those cloud pillows, they are adorable! I think Minxy ‘needs’ some too 😉 x

So cute aren’t they x
Love all of it! It’s going to look great! My tween and toddler have to share so it’s really difficult to get the right balance x
Author
Thanks! Oh I imagine that is really difficult x
The kid’s rooms are always the first rooms in our house to get a makeover and that personal touch added. Our house is rented so it’s not always so easy. I think little things like special pictures, personal bunting and little memories framed make all the difference.

I would much prefer to do Baby’s room, than ours x
Great picks here, I especially love the stem wallpaper. When we eventually move I’d like a feature wall with wallpaper on, I love the Quentin Blake parrot print. I also like the idea of a reading nook – at the moment we have a pile of cushions in the corner but E never uses them, she just sits infront of the bookcase x

It is so hard to decide on the wallpaper. x
