I am a DisneyLife Brand Ambassador and this post was created in partnership with DisneyLife who have provided me with a free 12 month DisneyLife membership.
I can’t believe how fast this year is going and we’re starting to make plans as we are approaching October half term. Hubby is working away during that week, so Ava and I will be flying solo. Her pre-school shuts just like the local schools, so she will be at home full-time and ready for lots of family fun.
For the past few months we have been really enjoying DisneyLife, having the app available on my phone has been really handy and at times it has helped me out a lot. Ava is full-on, so there are times when I need to calm her down and give her a stationary activity to occupy her for a while. This is when we call on all her favourite Disney shows, films and books which are all available on the app.
Our half term plans

- Pony riding – obviously being pony mad, Ava will want to spend time at the stables riding. We are so lucky to have so much beautiful countryside to ride around. I have ridden since I was three and she definitely takes after me in her love of the outdoors and of horses.

- Musical statues – since she went to her first slumber party, which was part of a bloggers’ event we went to last month, she has loved playing musical statues. The music available on the app makes this even easier and we now play it every day. I’m sure half term will be no different! She loves ‘Making Today a Perfect Day’ from Frozen Fever, as anything Frozen is still a huge hit in our house!
- PJs and Movie afternoon –Now that the weather is changing, we love to be cosy, putting on our onesies, grabbing a blanket and snuggling up together to watch a film (obviously with a hot chocolate by our sides!). I fancy watching Wreck it Ralph, but Ava has become slightly Disney Princess obsessed and can now name them all, so I think we might end up watching a Princess movie.
- Play dates – As Ava is usually at preschool part time, she doesn’t get to see some of her friends very regularly. We are really making up for it during half term, with lots of play dates fixed up. It will be so lovely to catch up with everyone.

- Crafting – Ava loves to make things, so we plan to start watching Disney’s Art Attack to give us some ideas of things we can make ourselves. We craft regularly at home, but sometimes I’m all out of ideas, so these prompts will really help me. Ava loves to create things, I think her favourite projects so far have been her Octopus window decorations and a painting she made her dad for Father’s Day. I must remember to stock up on supplies though!
You can try DisneyLife for a month for free, then if you choose to sign up it’s £9.99 per month (iOS/android). It’s great for kids of all ages and such a lovely activity for the whole family to enjoy and explore together.
What have you got planned for half-term?

Oh I love Wreck it Ralph!
We have done some crafting and then had a trip to London. Fab ideas for half term though!
