One of Ava’s big loves is shopping. She adores paying for things in shops and it’s even better when she can actually be the shop keeper! The Wooden Toy Shack sent her their Tidlo wooden shop/theatre, which as you can imagine she was thrilled about.
I have mentioned before how I really dislike putting things together. Not being a lover of instructions, I always wish things just arrived already put together. This shop came flat packed, to my relief it was really straight forward to assemble, even with a slightly opinionated ‘helper’!

The shop includes:
- A market stall design with a light blue/white striped fabric roof and counter top area.
- Three angled shelves that will take the Tidlo food crates or just offer lots of space for loose food (which is how we use them!).
- Each shelf has a chalkboard panel so you can write the ‘offers of the day’ or anything else you wish.
- Includes a removable chalk panel, which can be attached on the side.

Simply turn the shop around and ta-dah! You have a theatre, perfect for all those performances.
The theatre includes:
- 50 theatre tickets, which you can dispense through the ticket machine slot in the front.
- A chalkboard and clock to advertise the next play and show time.
- The shelves can be used to store puppets and props during the performance.

Ava plays with it every day; predictably she likes the shop side best of all and asks us what we want from the shop constantly!

We love wooden toys, they are far nicer to have around our home, than plastic versions. I also really like the feeling of knowing we can pass them down to other children to enjoy as Ava grows up. It is lovely that a toy, which has brought so much joy into our lives, can do the same for others in the future.
There are so many wonderful toys on their site, I know we will be ordering some Christmas gifts from their wide selection.
Thanks to The Wooden Toy Shack for sending Ava this gift, you made a little girl very happy!
Disclosure: We were sent this shop/theatre in return for an honest review.
