I am a few days late in writing this update, as I have been snowed under. Last Thursday Baby turned 19 months old, wow time has flown!
I feel in some way the rate of development is slowing down, as she has achieved so many milestones already. There were months when so much was happening at the same time. Now she has passed the mobility milestones; it is now developments in her learning and comprehension that we are seeing more of.
This month, she has started to say a clear ‘hello’ to anyone and everyone. She still loves to wave at strangers and is often quite free and easy with her kisses. Her new words include ‘towel’ and ‘shoe’ quite randomly!
She is such a bright spark and can be both entertaining and frustrating. Her incredible determination is probably as very good attribute, but there are times when I wish she wasn’t quite so tenacious. She has started having a few tantrums, some ending up on the floor. Which is very embarrassing, as I automatically assume people will think it is because you are a bad mum; that raised a brat. They are probably just grateful that it is not their child that that time.
She adores phoning Daddy and won’t stop kissing the phone when he is on the line. I love her face when she hears him come through the door after work, pure delight with the exclamation of ‘Dada’! She loves it when we copy her noises, and gets a little smirk on her face as she changes her noises, to see if we will carry on copying her. She thinks it is wonderful to steal my phone and present it to me, as if she has just found it (and she is very happy to take the credit).
She is a joy, such a character and although she can be challenging, she brightens every single day with her phenomenal smile. I am beyond grateful to be her Mummy.

What a sweetheart! I love everything about babies. My little girl is now 4! How on earth did that happen? Time flies so fast, sometimes I want it to slow down just a little bit. #whatsthestory.

Happy Birthday to Baby!
Time really does fly. My youngest turned two in August and I’m left in a bit of a spin wondering where my little baby went!
My only advice for tantrums would be to remain calm in the face of hysteria!! The situation is usually resolved much quicker if we can keep our cool. My youngest likes to just lay down on the pavement when she’s had enough, great isn’t it!

What a gorgeous photo by Jaime. She sounds so similar to LL, they really are little characters aren’t they? We have the on the floor tantrums, she is a lot more bubbly and laid back than Mads was as a baby but she also has a much bigger temper when she wants to! x

How lovely 🙂 Baby & my Spiderbaby must have very close birthdays, she’ll be 19 months on the 12th! It’s such a fun age isn’t it, so much character is coming out it’s fab. And as for the tantrums bit, sod ’em if they look judgemental quite frankly. I’m working on a thing about the Mumma salute – a way we can tell other mums who’s babies are having tantrums that we feel their pain! x
Ah Baby sounds so similar to Pops, she is 19 months this week. Trantrums aside its such a lovely age, so wonderful seeing their personalities emerge and really is amazing how much knowledge they gain daily. Lovely post x
